The license for EPL is in hands of EA.
I could go and slay you with some arguements, but I think its ignorant of you and belittling.

But Barry; Games like this is football etc. had licences one day. You can sell the license to two publishers right?

And Duggano7, I rather play Ajax-Psv thank you very much.

Yeah, it's possible, but EA signed an exclusive deal with FIFA, so the only way Konami can get the official license is when EA's contract runs out.

i would rather much play a english game than a dutch game mabye konami will get the english liscences by october we just have to wait and see

Hmm yes Homer I was thinking about that after I posted, I dont know their reasons then.
Maybe its their funds that limit them from buying a license, maybe its expensive etc.

Another example: Why no Bernabeu? Could be the same reasons.

Its obvious English fans want to play with English teams, while Dutch fans want the Dutch teams.

I used to play FIFA all the time but what made me turn Pro (Get it) was the fact I had to get technical to insert kits and change music etc.

Being an I.T person I just love ripping things apart and improving them. I couldn't care less about Konami not buying an English license, I will just create the kits myself.

I think Konami are not stupid but they must include these damn licenses in future, anyway the first priority is gameplay.

Thats why its such a pitty to see such a lovely game with no licenses.

EA FIFA is like an ugly old women in a nice and rich dress and PES is like Pamela Anderson in raggy poor clothes.

And saying that Ajax or PSV are shite is a great mistake my friend, No Offenece but you should have named 2 teams that never won the champions league cause Chelsea and Arsenal never won it but AJAX and PSV have been continental champions so lets think twice before doing such comments.

Anyway no offence Chelsea and Arsenal are among of todays strongest sides in the world and could easily win it but lets not offend nobody.

I don't believe that EA have the only rights to the premiership, i think its just down to what is the cheapest liecence to buy. For example the dutch league is going to far cheaper to liecence than the Premiership however, if it's true about ea only having the rights to the prem then wouldn't Konami forget about it and just liecence the french and german league and even the national sides. In my Imo its down to the money that Konami will have to pay for the Premiership!!

I would just like to make a point that if you are posting on this site the chances are you have the opportnities to patch your games. Hopefully when PES5 and WE9 are released within a few months somebody will have created a patch and/or option file which will make the problem of non-registered kits non-existant.

So for us....there is no problem.

But for us who don't have the opportunity to patch games, the editing mode will have to be awesome. But then again, did they announce the liscensed clubs when the announced PES4 or was it after a few months of news?

I'm not 100% sure but I think EA Sports signed the licensing rights until 2009 I read that somewhere before.
i do believe you are correct and that means that any other game can only use up to 2 premiership teams which is why club football had the license team and only one other english team with proper kits. So in thoery its not only Konami being lazy and cheap.

If I were you than I would make anything to make it possible to patch my games, there are really good patchers and not only on kits witch will make ur game even more entertaining.
