Has anyone else noticed this?
I was watching the demo of Fifa 2006 last night and when Rooney scores the net doesn't even move, it's like shooting into steel nets:mellow:
Another reason why Fifa isn't really that realistic comparing to Pro Ev
They are convincingly animated nets, according to EA...

A popular feature request by the community was for convincingly animated nets. FIFA 06 now offers just that so you can watch as the ball flies into the back of the net from your latest screamer of a goal.

i must say, nets seem to be the most difficult thing to implement into a football game as they react in so many different ways, but by the looks of the screenshots, they look no different to any other nets i've seen. some one said the nets seem like steel, but to be fair there are some stadiums that have the nets pulled really tight, porto and arsenal have quite stiff nets. it depends on the stadium really

For me, FIFA has always been too easy. I use to regularly have FIFA nights round at a mates house with a few lads and plenty of beer, and that was the only time I'd enjoy playing it. Against the computer, it was just too simple to put the ball away, from anywhere in their half. Would have meant for some good looking goals had the animations been any good.

I've played the demno of Fifa06, and the controls felt really laggy, and that puts me off instantly. PES5 demo however, instant response as always.

Last decent Fifa game I played was fifa 98 way back on the snes, about a year before I discovered ISS, and we all know what happened after that of course :)

FIFA is a dream for toddlers beginning their gaming careers, who are too limited (skill wise) to comprehend using more than two buttons. Triangle=sprint, and as soon as you enter the opponents' half, shoot with O. And maybe X to pass if they feel extra adventurous. That's what i did when i loved FIFA, but i haven't played it since 2000 so not sure if its changed or not (not that it'd be any better if it had)

yea it has changed mate! its no longer as easy as it used to be back in the day and in fairness does require a bit of skill to play but its just no way near as good as pro
