fifa is still crap i dont care what anyone says. good animations but the overall gameplay is unresponsive, slow and poor. it is getting better though while pro evo is gettin worse.

pro evo 2008 and 2009 were shocking and i was surprised they were made by the same developers.

the only thing good about these new games are the graphics. i mean for gods sake all konami have to do is re create the game engine from the winning eleven series. the gameplay was near perfection and the players felt for real. gerrard felt like gerrard, messi felt like messi. the shooting was perfect, the running was realistic and the players was responsive and you felt in control. im still playing winning eleven now and im scoring different goals each time. im not saying its perfect because it isnt. but if konami used that game engine with some slight tweaks then it would be awesome

i cant believe some people on here who can actually play these new football games. have we all forgotten how good winning eleven was. its far superior.

if you want a good game then go back to it. i know i will if the new pro evo is crap again. and it probably will be.

According to a recent magazine review, PES2010 is supposed to be a return to the playability of PS2 versions. Unfortunately with the same flaws...

But hey, it looks pretty...

Praise the lord.. PES is back to it's PS2 best...

I'm guessing y'all missed the last bit though?

It still has the PS2 flaws, so basically it's PES6 with pretty graphics and 16 way dribbling.

Not much of a coup when you think about it, is it

the 360 dribbling is definitely there

Well the 360 Dribbling in PES2010 is'nt as 360 Degree control like in FIFA10.

There is much more 360 control in FIFA10 than in PES2010.

But that is the reason I don't like FIFA that much this year. Not that it's a bad game, i've been playing it since Thursday and it is a wonderful game to play, but the 360 Dribbling is a little too 360. There is too much freedom in FIFA10. I don't like that much freedom.

And that leads me onto PES2010, which has fantasic movement on and off the ball. It does have 360 Degree movement, but there is not too much freedom and that makes the game very good - especially on the PS3 because it reminds me of PES5 and PES6.
In PES6 there was more freedom than in PES2008/2009. But now that Konami have that 360 Dribbling in, it feels more like PES6. That is the reason I think PES will own FIFA this year.
Even though I have got FIFA10 and I am on it right now, I can't help but quit the game every now and then and have a few matches on the WE2010 Demo.

I think it will be a fantasic year for PES and FIFA.
But I think the more noticeable changes will come from PES.

Can't wait for October 23rd. This is set to be the closest year for PES and FIFA.

:)

I really don't know where to begin...

Ok.. so...

...FIFA's 360 degrees is too free... PES in 360 degrees it's like playing PES 6 which was only 8 way directional control? Yet even though it (allegedly) is 360 degrees it's not as freeform as FIFA (which incidentally is 360 degrees), so that makes it better as you don't like having a choice?

Finally, black is orange and Lionel Messi is actually a small fisherman from Strathclyde.

I think that makes as much sense...

I don't mean PES6 has the same control as PES2010:huh:

What I mean is that PES2010 reminds me of PES6. Of course PES2010 has more freedom than PES6, but feels more like PES6 than PES2008/2009 does.

And yeah FIFA does have too much freedom compared too PES this year. They both have 360 Control, but FIFA feels more 360 than PES.

I know it sounds confusing....I don't blame you

I am a very confusing person, so next time you see a post by me that is very confusing, just ignore it.

Im actually convinced some PES fanboys find fifa difficult if they dont have everything on assisted, then get upset with it. Seriously, im alarmed by the the following comments i keep hearing

"You cant beat a man"- yes you can but its fucking hard and takes skill, especially if youve just come off pes where you can glide though teams with eto'o like they aint even there

"Its too realistic"- Fucking saw this shit on the front page and didnt know what to say

Having played a game of PES5 today, im conviced alot of pes fans who try to play fifa dont give the game and themselves alot of a chance, its like they expect to come off pes and start killing fifa, it just aint gonna happen, they are different animals, the biggest difference is in fifa there is way more aspects under your control and way more things you can use and that can be used against you.

At least the flaws in the PS2 were less and few between.
Is it being made by a different software team?

I understand that the 360 dribbling is too much. I just find it really loose now. I liked fifa 09 but to be honest i really think that fifa 10 is shit. It really bores me, technically its good but i just think that it is missing the wow factor of real football and the excitement. Love pes this year cant wait!

stood in game yesterday, i had hold of fifa, nearly bought it and took the quick route to a footie game but i held strong, just over two weeks to wait then i can safely buy pro without (hopefully) having to return it for a trade in.
