I've got me copy yesterday ... i was never a fan of WE compared to PES..say what you want but there is a big difference
here is my 2 cents ( i did not where to put it )
1- is it me or the game play is turning to a bit like FIFA!? sure there is the dribble & the movment but i think its more artifical then real
2- I'm a level 6 players... always been... suprisingly it was very very hard to win on level 6 on WE10... in the master league & with Real Madrid... i managed 4 draw (very last minute goals from me after shifting the formation to a 3-2-5) & 4 wins
3- you can NEVER keep the same formation ... you will lose, sometimes i shift the formation 3 times a game.. i tried before on a friendly... play with my 3-4-3 i score then other team score twice
4- you need to be very very carefull in Corner kicks.. the AI score easily from it its more dangerous then the free kick
5- there is huge improvement in the AI level for the other team..however the way i score goals looks more like FIFA 06 then PES5... i feel annoyed so far
6- i wish in the edit section they could have the option of switching the player name to what is written on his shirt(usually correct )... i had this game with all international players written in English ... but to change everyone took off 4 hours & i nearly managed all big teams only
7- there is a formation assitant were you can have the option of the AI changing your team formation to what is sutiable ATM in the game... helped me in those last minute goals ..
8- some of the players are accurate & levels are up compared to PES4.. maybe some like Messi is still below his potential
9- the adding of River Plate & the other argie club is great
10 - when you play the Master league you can determaine who tough & frequent the transfers will be...which is really cool... unlike before you recieve several options (with Chelsea the higest
) ... and more persistent you turn them down they come back again
11- sometimes the players (yours ) are tacitally dumb ... they let go of many balls, fail in many many air challanges (even with someone like Baptista who is a monster)
12- a cool additition is when you press pause (start) you have a nice indication who scored & who assisted on the top right of the screen
13- great new thing your players don't get tierd as often as before when you did need at least 22 goooood players to pass a League+cup game , however the regulation make them tierd and the game do not mark the players who are in red
14- the refs still give yellow & reds on any sliding tackle!! i read people say its less but i did not see that
to sum it up...there is improvment in terms of intelligance, AI... the game play..not that much i read somewhere someone suggesting playing on level 4 as game will be a bit slower & not arcade style as it is now
dribbling improved a lot, shooting beautiful but no accuracy , crosses are anticpated you need to pass a surprise pass & cross quickly if you want to score from it...
the way your players head the ball is BEAUTIFULL... the goals drop the ball so often its nice to have a goal poacher like Inzaghi around (even though seldom you find any of your strikers around when the ball is dropped even with 3 strikers) ...and in real like goal keepers catch the ball sometimes not this way
in short not what i expected from Konami i hope they sort this out in PES...till it comes out... I'm stuck with this one
