Wow... The keeper really sucks

I was just playing a CL match. Liverpool vs Olympiakos. 2-2. OL scores in the last second. Why? Because the goalkeeper thought it would be funny to duck under the ball by performing a sliding tackle and making the other team score.

What is wrong with the keeper? Even the keepers from PES09 were better.

It's cause you pressed triangle to make the kepper rush out. if you didn't press triangle he would have just caught the ball... the keepers are fine you just need to pick the right time to press triangle.

Yes exactly. I just pressed the triangle button and the keeper decided to perform a sliding tackle when the ball was high in the air!

The keepers are a disgrace, i cannot count how many games i have lost due to them not holding onto a really soft ball and just palming it out for an easy tap in for the opposing team. I know they make some class saves at times, but how hard must it be to make them touch the ball over the crossbar at times.

It is rare that make mistakes, just like in real life. There are problems with PES 10 but the keepers aren't one of them. If it happens alot use a better keeper e.g. Pepe Reina, Gianluigi Buffon, Julio Cesar or Igor Akinfeev.

"Referee never calls for hands", thats cause there isn't ever hand ball, when it appears to hit a players hand it is just an animation mistake, like when they shoot and the ball doesn't make contact with the players foot.
"Referee doesn't call for fouls", that is a problem, yes, referees do miss alot of fouls and make alot of bad decisions.

Here is what i dont like. I have a hard shot close to the keeper blocked. Fair enough but in the replay the ball goes passed his hands but the ball is deflected by an invisible wall and then hits the post.

I have lost count of situations like these. I can mention the go through glove goal.
Ball simply goes thorugh and not passed glove. Konami should be able to make a game without amateur flaws like these.

The keepers are ok but things mentioned above are abysmal.
Refs are sh!te compared to goalies and they need to be fixed.

9 times out 10 the player runs the ball out when running down the line
shooting from 35yds and blasting over the bar most of the time
every throw- in is exactly the same
long free kicks just chipped up
there are a lot of things wrong with pes10, but having said that, it can`t be easy to incorporate every possible football situation into a game. Have gone back to playing pes6 which is really unexceptable having to play a 5yr old game because the cpu AI is much better,
all we can hope is 2011 is better.

35yrd shots? you expect them to go in?.
Throw-ins are they same anyway. They can only throw it over their head.
For the free kicks don't just tap circle or they will just do a little chip.

I'm very happy for you though - the game you play is very different from the one me and many others do, where the keepers and the refs constantly compete about being the dumbest digital beings there ever were.

I managed to control the keepers a bit. but the Refs are a big problem. They never call for a foul. I have never even received a red card for tackling someone from behind (straight on his legs, not on the ball)

umm yeah hello pes people its been my experience that the keeper some times will do some stupid things(without hitting triangle) i dont see it as a glaring problem (refs) but sometmies yes they will do something to lose the game and that is when i reset that game hah.BUt that is only if it was so obvious what to do i couldve done it.

What frustrates me to no end is hitting super cancel and my guy doesn't respond esp on freekicks that is soo frustrating to know you could get to the ball if the AI would jsut realease control so i can get the player "off the rails" my gawd fix super cancel to be instant.

Yes these two points are not acceptable in a game.

I am looking forward to PES 2011 to see cpu getting red carded. I think it was fun when you could have cpu red carded and then play superoffensive and give them a big lesson.

I reckon something has been fixed with the refs but not enough red cards and penalties are called.

The keepers have been poor for years now in PES, from their positioning, their glitches to even the saves they make. The AI is unfortunately poor when it comes to defending, making the game attack-friendly (although not as much as it has been the last few previous years).

I've also found upon pressing Y/Triangle, and rushing the goalkeeper out, they tend to mess up completely. It's almost as if the goalkeepers cannot comprehend rushing out and making a save at the same time, and they simply malfunction the majority of the time.

If you time it it is not that poor. If you just rush the keeper out without thinking then yes he will be poor.

I have now seen that some of my freekick with high arcs have a tendency to sail in the goal when the ball dives close to the bar of the goal and when a defender and my attacker is close to the ball.

Just scored one from 45 m out lol. Did the same the other day was 1-0 down against Brazil in World Cup semifinal and 85 minutes played. Taiwo then scores directly by a high arc free kick. I then won the penalties and the final woohoo.
