it was in the shop I bought it from, but it was much more expensive than PLAY.com (28.99)

It is very useful though.

X-Port help required!

I'm using it as normal. The memory card - the one with all my PES/WE data - causes the X-Port program to crash when it tries to connect to the card. But the other memory card works fine.
Have checked the memory card. There is about 900KB free and there are no corrupted data files.
I've tried restarting the PC and reinstalling the software but the same thing happens. One mem card works and the other doesn't.

Any ideas on what is wrong?

(BTW, sorry to everyone else who is thinking of getting an X-Port but this is the first and only problem I've had with it for over 6 months)

Cheers.

OK. Figured it out with some help.
The WE7 files on the memory card causes the program to crash. Very strange. Taking them off the card fixes it.

Hopefully we'll get this sorted soon.
If anyone has any ideas for sorting this or if they have this problem too, please share your experience.

This is how I figure it:
Memory card with no WE7 files = fine.
With WE7 files -> causes program to crash so you can't upload or download new files until you remove them.

If I buy an X-Port can I still us the option File thats available then, or is it going to crash everytime I try to copy it onto the memory card?

You can copy anything TO the card. At the moment there is a problem taking anything off a memory card with WE7 files but this doesn't affect everyone so there should be a way to sort it out soon.

OK thanks allot mate, I better get my Xport ordered then...... I guess I can share/Download goals also.....

You can use X-Port for ANY PS2 memory card saves to backup onto PC.
Or you can download some files with cheats activated from various sites. Yes you can swap goals and basically all your files too.

Right Im going to Play.com to order it, sounds like its gonna be worth the money, really fancy showing people my goals, and being able to download the latest Options files etc.....

Might have to order a DVD film while im there.

Thanks for the help mate. :)

I Need Help

I really need help, i've installed my X-Port but how do you Backup game saves from your memory card to your PC ?

Coz i can't see WE7 in the games menu.

I can also see games that i don't have nor have ever played, why is this ?

And why can i not see some of my memory card saves like GTA Vice City and GT 3 their ????????????/

At the top click 'SAVES' and then at the bottom on the left there is an option to connect to memory card. Try it. Once connected, you should probably backup files one at a time so you can names them (if they're from the same game)

Copy the downloaded WE7 option file to the savedgames folder so you can send it to your memory card.

Be Careful not to click on Format or Delete!!
I think it's quicker to delete using the PS2 browser screen rather than the X-Port.

Let us know how it goes.

Right, so i save my PES2 Goal Replay's (there's some belters in there) one bye one ???

And do they go into my folder as soon as they have saved ?

And do you rename them when their in your folder or do you rename them on the X-Port conrol screen ?

If you do it 1-by-1 you'll know which slot number they are from so you can name the files properly. Otherwise you won't know which is which as they get similar names.

What I do is back them up 1-by-1 with the slot number: "PES2 Goal - 14"
and then I check what the goal was like in the replay mode and then I change the file name to:
"PES2 Goal - 14 - Beckham Free Kick"
Something Like that.

Best to only rename the filename (.xps) I reckon.

No worries mate.
Be careful with that problem I mentioned yesterday about WE7 files. Hopefully you won't have that problem too.

Do you mean you look at the goals on the WE7 goal replays, or can you do it on the X-Port Control screen ?
Coz i don't know what the goals are like to name them.
