Xbox 360 Pes 6 Crap?

Is it me or is PES6 a load of rubbish? I liked the xbox version last year (pes5) and the PS2 versions but the X360 one is rubbish. The controls are not very responsive, there are only 8 stadiums, you cannot edit the team names and , in my opinion, FIFA07 is more fun to play. I think Konami have just got totally complacant about the series and have obviously just released this tripe attempt as people will buy it just because it's the first X360 PES game - Konami need to do some serious overhauling if they are to make any impact with PES8 or might as well give up. It seems as though each PES release these days is a step back from the previous year- am I on my own in this opinion? :shocking:

So... I walked into the wrong section.

Wait Here, Gone for Help
Its alot better gameplay wise then the ps2 version. And its not a sequel on the 360 as it is the forst next gen PES

When you learn how to play it things won't seem so bad.

I hope so. I'm struggling to score goals at the middle level (I forget the name). Usually, it takes me about a month to 'master' the game. So, I've got three more weeks of pain, anguish and fustration coming up. :)

i like the fact of struggling to score, there just no joy in winning every game 6-0 now the computer a1 has toughened up

Same here, but the problem I have is actually putting the ball in the back of the net, even if I'm one on one with the keeper, I seem to either put it wide, or sometimes the ball floats when you shoot.

The main problem I have is the responsiveness of the d-pad. The stick is fine, but I struggle with accuracy, whereas the d-pad is more accurate. Well, practice makes perfect, I guess.

What i did was go down a level to Amateur played a few games got some goals under my belt and then it was easier on Regular. I use the stick and have done since PES5 but i have to say the d pad is awkward on the 360.

I am quite good at PES thanks and can win lots of matches - it's not the fact that it's too tough that makes me dislike this version. A) Looks sod all like a next gen title B) Only 8 stadia when the previos gen version had around 30 C) Controls seem worse than other version D) They could have done much more with this title considering the extra power of the 360. Again I think Konami just now assume we will buy their next PES game even if it's inferior to their last. Why only 8 stadia? There's no excuse for this surely?

I am totally with you on this Bladerunner. I have posted elsewhere on this site about it but Konami are taking the p1ss. I suspect they might even have just banged PES6 out for the 360 while working super hard on a PS3 version of PES for next year; apparently EA took 2 years to make the 360 version of Fifa 07 which, I should point out, is absolutely brilliant. And I've been Pro Evo/ISS loyal for ten years.

I'm glad to say I got PES6 for the 360 from GAME, when they still had their returns policy. I took it straight back for the excellent Fifa 07.

Wow and the immature inmates are trying to run the asylum. Why resort to the kind of course language that would make your Grans teeth fall out? I mean come on, what age are you 10? Everybody is entitled to their own opinion and it is totally close minded of you to take the piss when someone is putting that opinion across. Personally i think PES for 360 is a big case of potential lost. It's not "The Bollocks" as you like to say, it is indeed a completely flawed and incomplete title. Fifa 07 is not excellent as a previous poster stated, it is not that bad but since i am a games tester by trade and have already spotted over 10 bugs, 1 of which is a very annoying one, in Fifa 07 I'd say its not that great for working on it for 2 years. If you want to take a totally unbiased and objective look at both titles i think you will easily see all of the flaws in both.

PEFAS? I think he was the weak bladdered waiter who served my table on holiday in Mexico.

Now, the game on 360 isn't crap at all. It's a good game, although IMO not more funner to play then the PS2 version. The gameplay is outstanding on both console's. It's just the matter of getting used to the game, once you have, I'm sure PES will be just as good as it has been for you. I mean, the first time I played PES6 for 360 I was shite, even though I mastered the PS2 version. It's a lot harder to score, as it should be, and is more realistic. No doubt, I'm going to miss the PS2 versions, but once the 360 version of PES7 gets the Edit mode, etc. in, then I'll be just as stuck to that as I have been on previous PS2 Years.

So to answer the 'question', no, the game isn't even close to crap.

Jah

is mighty.
No where near being crap mate, it misses a large part in the editing area and due to that it will only last as long as you can put up with the unlicensed sides and the fact that transfers can't be made and numbers can't be changed.

The gameplay on xbox 360 imo is better and seems to flow better than on ps2. The graphics, especially on a HD tele are really nice aswell, loads better than ps2.

However if you don't like Pes on the 360 maybe getting Fifa for 360 might be better for you, or just wait for Pes 7 which should be much better :)
