This only applies to the 360 since I have not tried the PS3 & PC versions. Suffice it to say that I will NOT purchase this game on release day(I was going to, not anymore!) unless most of the issues are fixed and solved. Some of these issues make this game completely unplayable for me.

Issues

#1 Stuttering/MicroPausing/Jerky type motion when sprinting. So you are sprinting and all of the sudden your player stops and goes, stops and goes. Weird animation too. Completely disrupts the flow of the game. This happens when dribbling as well... game-breaking issue. Must be solved.

#2 Graphics look old or even reused from previous versions. The lighting is awful as well. What have you been doing KONAMI?!

3# Passing is unpredictable and unrealistic. Your pass either goes like a missile or barely any power... there's no in between no matter how much you charge the power button.

4# Shooting is terrible. It seems like no matter what you do, the ball ALWAYS goes high... even if you barely touch the shooting button. The physics of the ball feel way off.

5# GKs are awful. I can't count how many times my GK fooked up.

6# Defending makes no sense... it doesn't matter if you have good positioning and good timing, the opponents go through your defenders like water....
SIDENOTE- Something else about defenders, even your defenders feel as skilled as a messi or Ronaldo when dribbling... very unrealistic... they seem to have the ball glued to them no matter what player you are using.

7# AI is dumb. I am not talking about the CPU, but your own players. You can just be dribbling trying to find some space and your players will just stand and watch you. The only time they do anything is if you press the right stick and FORCE them to make a run forward... but even that is not enough.

*****************************************************
Having talked to PS3 owners that have played the 2nd demo, I understand that their version seems much better and improved than the 360. I am starting to think that the reason KONAMI did not release a 360 version of the first demo is due to some of these issues(Specially the Micro-pausing while sprinting) but it seems like they still have not fixed the problems.

Any feedback would be appreciated. (Specially from 360 owners.)

very single player seems to run to the ball, its like watching a team of junior school kids play where they all bunch together, im very dissapointed, and also the camera angle in the demo is terrible, pitchside is a little better

You can't really say it's down to the player when most of the points he mentions are to do with the system, and not things like scores.

Granted I've only played a few matches so far, I'm a little underwhelmed. It feels more like PES 2011.5 than anything.

I think I've noticed a more lively atmosphere in the stadiums now, but that make up for the broken gameplay at times. The jerky and jumping issue is ridiculous, and given that it happens several times a match (offline) is just unfathomable. The goalkeepers are just the same they've been for the last however many years; atrocious. The AI opponent as referenced in the first post do seem to have wonderful ability to hold onto the ball for Messi-esque runs when they're attacking you, however I won't say this is common just yet, and I hope it's more so down to amazing dribbling stats but I'm a little doubtful at the moment.

I'm usually incredibly optimistic, especially with PES, and I thought PES 2011 was the best PES in years. However, despite promises again of goalkeeper improvements, only to certainly not be given them (there's been 4 goals scored so far in my overall 3 matches played, and 3 goals the keepers should have comfortably stopped).

Don't get me wrong, it's not a complete wreck, as some of the new turning animations and whatnot look really sweet, but there's just seemingly way too many flaws for this to even be considered a 'completed' version of the game (2nd demo, well first really isn't it... for the Xbox 360).

I can see Konami announcing pretty soon before the release of PES 2012 that they're working on the issues raised by everyone... as they always say. It just seems to be a case of 'release now, fix it later' when it comes to Konami and PES now.

Hardly... I just think some people struggle to play PES properly. He mentioned passing and shooting, but I find them both to be fine! Just think sometimes people are never pleased with shit. Konami have put alot of effort fixing things we asked for and I think they have... I enjoyed the 2nd demo better than the 1st and I'm happy with it!

The jerky stuff happened on last years demo, if you mean the slight stop in gameplay that is. It's not in the full game.

Graphics look great to me, guessing they'll also be much better on the full game, considering this is a demo swamped down to a certain size, which effects the graphics.

Passing is one of the best passing systems I've seen, so it must be the player. Maybe you're best off actually practicing? Funny that many are able to come to grips with the power of passing...so cant be all bad.

Shooting gets some negativity from people and it annoys me to be honest. Shooting is something you need to practice and attempt to master. You cant just shoot from any angle and have it be a super shot. You've got to get body shape right, body balance right, position right, space right and even the strength of which you press the shoot button and the amount of power you use. Shots vary, if you're getting at a higher speed and use a certain amount of power it could give you a beautifully driven power shot...however, if you're barely going at any speed but use the exact same amount of power, it could give you a floated shot, due to everything I just listed above...surely that makes sense?

GK's still need work, but they've at least been improved in areas. Still something they should focus on, but they're at least up a level from before.

Defending makes perfect sense, it seems you just don't think so because you're not very good at it. Not saying that in a horrible way mate. If players go through you like water, then you're not defending properly. There's also training mode where you can have a little practice at the defending challenge, might come to some use, play it over and over to try to come to grips with it. Again, only trying to help you out mate in hope of you liking things more.

Also, I'd love you to upload a video of you using a defending (let's say Gallas) doing Messi like dribbling and taking on player after player.

Don't agree what so ever with the AI, best AI system in the history of next gen consoles in terms of football games. Your players make runs, they make space, they move into the positions that they should do without even telling them to. Yet there's also a reason why the player movement system is in...you wont master that in the space of a few games, practice it, learn to have every player making movement...not easy, but that's a good thing.

I dont agree with you cant just blame everything on lack of skills. It depends on how u play this game .
I speak for myself and many other top 200 players on Xbox Live who i know. And im not talking about shooting or passing im talking about the insane dribbling skills. Crouch can easily dribble past 4 of my defenders at any time and thats the same for any player in this demo. And thats not because of me sliding or giving to much pressure
I used to play a quick passing game maybe a few one-two's until i see some space. Thats almost impossible now because my teammates are going nowhere. If you like to sprint to the corner flag and give (low)crosses all game long then this demo will indeed fit you perfect. Off the ball control is nice but i want my whole team to be clever and make more runs instead of doing nothing most of the time.

Off the ball control is there to make your team move and make more runs. Even without it my players and team mates move into space and make runs, so we must be playing a different game or you're just viewing something in the wrong way. Sorry, but I can only say what I see on the screen, my players are moving well, Modric moves on his own into holes in the middle of the park...that's movement, cant ask for much more.

And if Crouch is dribbling through four of your men, you need to learn to defend properly.

That has nothing to do with defending i dont think u understand me.
If Crouch or any other random player runs down the side then he's just as quick as Maicon and thats simply not how it should be. And when i look on my screen i can also see players moving but unfortunately in the wrong direction and most of the time not at all. Im talking about making runs forward into space not just moving around like they dont know what to do . Sometimes my sideback comes up but since my game isnt about crossing most of the time i would rather see forwards and midfielders make runs. Like i said off the ball control is nice but i expect my whole team to take part.

@mahanddeem moaning thread?
we are discussing flaws in this game and sharing opinions about this demo i think thats why this is called PES 2012 Discussion forum.

Well I don't know how Crouch is out pacing players on your PES as when I played as Spurs Modric was brilliant for me finding space and darting into the box... Bale was up and down the left flank with akotto overlapping him. Van der Vaart couldn't get into the game I found this a good thing as the rest of the team were having a good game he didn't so that made it different. Everyone has there own opinions on this game... so far I can't say a bad thing about it! But that could change!

Yes true it depends on how you play anyway .
I like the demo and i think pes 2012 might be what we waiting for, im just pointing out some flaws that need improvement in my opinion.

The thing is I just don't get that, it's like you're playing a different version of the game or something. Crouch is like real life Crouch for me. He cant run like Maicon what so ever, he's actually pretty slow and clumsy, but holds the ball up well. He also stretches his lanky legs at times and makes shocking challenges, basically how he does in real life, that's realistic, so I just don't understand where you're coming from. Everybody is welcome to their opinions, but it's just weird in this case, because we're both playing the same game, so I don't understand why you're getting that Crouch runs like Maicon.

Heat summed it up well too, pretty much how I feel. My team mates also make themselves space and make runs without even using the off ball controls, so I dunno man, I'm not sure how I can really debate this anymore

Either way, hopefully it picks up for you man and things start working better for you.

I play on top player and usually get the hang of pes really quick but this year...wow. The new delay feature is retarded the defensive AI double teams me and i cant get by anyone with ease yet. Im sure when i get the game and use link feints that will be solved but we'll see. As mentioned in the OP the ball physics seem to morph through my foot when i try to steal the ball which is retarded. I cant get within arms length of bale but when i try to run offensively with the speed burst i get double teamed or something. idk the game is really frustrating so far but im hoping for the patch to correct this sh|t

The jerking and pausing on the 360 will be gone in full release.

I have read people saying this in a couple of forums now but noone has given a source for this information or explained what they have based this on.

Has this issue already been acknowledged by Konami and has it confirmed that it won't be present for 360 users in the full version?

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere.

My thoughts exactly. I won't buy this game until I know for sure the issues have been fixed.
