TH14 - did you say that it freezes at a certain point? Because I'm having a problem with my fifa 07, it freezes everytime I play but it can freeze at any point. Freezes in manager mode, in gameplay, in the one on one shooting with Ronaldinho, freezes anytime. Someone said it had something to do with the xbox update but I don't believe that..

Killerkey- it didn't so much as freeze but the fan just stops and it comes up saying disc unreadable
my GOW has now got to go back now aswell as it's happening to that
my suggestion is do not the leave the disc in the 360 when turned off

Every new game I get seems to get a read error within the first day of playing it. I give the disc a clean and normally it doesn't freeze after that. I usually leave a game in the console when it's off but Thierry's probably right - better off taking the disc out to be safe. Whatever you do.. don't move the 360 when it's turned on, with a game in it... scratches the shit out of the disc and fucks it up

THE AUTOMATIC STEP UP A GEAR FOR GAME WITH FAME ON GEARS OF WAR

London, December 2006 – Welsh wonders, The Automatic, will be giving their fans an early Christmas gift this year when they become the latest band to Game With Fame on Xbox Live®. The boys will be playing Gears of War™ on the Xbox 360™ and will no doubt be asking – “what’s that coming over the……….” as they battle the locust hoards in this chart topping game.

Rob, Pennie, Frost and Iwan have enjoyed a meteoric 2006 in which their debut album ‘Not Accepted Anywhere’ has clocked up more than 200,000 sales. Their new single ‘Raoul’ is out on the 8th January 2007.

The band have even seen their music blast out on the club scene with legendary DJ Norman Cook busting their summer anthem – ‘Monster’ – on dance floors across the country. B-sides on the new single ‘Raoul’ include Fatboy Slim’s remix of ‘Monster’ and the boys own unique take on Kanye West’s ‘Gold Digger’.

The Automatic will be taking time out to join the Xbox360team for an exclusive Xbox Live GWF on Gears of War, the hottest title of 2006.

On December 11th between 5pm and 7pm (GMT), fans will have the chance to chat and game against the band. The gaming session will also be available on Xbox Live Vision.

Do you use something in particular to clean your disks?

Hey everybody, i have just got a new xbox 360 and HDTV for christmas and i do not understand how to connect the wires up on the HD/AV cable (the one with 6 different colours) i am really stuggling and i need help in the manual it isnt easy to understand what so ever

"Connect the red, green, and blue
colour-banded connectors on the
HD AV cable to the corresponding
colour inputs (Y, Cb/Pb, Cr/Pr) on
your TV. Leave the yellow colourbanded
composite connector
unconnected.
5 Connect the solid colour left and
right (white and red) audio
connectors on the HD AV cable to
the audio inputs on your TV."

for me its difficult to understand that whatsoever

It's fairly straight forward.

Plug in the AV cable into the back of the Xbox 360 (it's the only one that'll fit...) and turn the switch to HD. Then attatch the blue green and red wires into your HDTV. It may be on the front or the back of it, depending on the model...

For sound, get the white and red cables and connect them either to the corresponding coloured spots on your HDTV, or into a surround sound system's 'Aux' input.

Make sure that you have NOT connected the yellow cable on the same 'string' as the white and red sound cables. The yellow cable is for non-HD pictures. Also, make sure you've flicked the switch to HD... I believe it comes set to TV.

Consoles great. Best console I've played on, actually. Love the idea of changing your profile picture, and the background theme. Enjoying Gears Of War at the minute, actually, enjoying is an understatement. I cant get off of it. Although it is actually burning my eyes at the moment, Im only actually thinking about getting this Berserker out of this tomb. Great game, amazing console. And I only got the Console yesterday.

Well if you buy the Wireless Network Adaptor, you'll be needing the Live subscription, preferably 12 months which totals £100 for them both. Me and my bro bought them both today and he hooked it up since I haven't a clue and I love it, it's working nicely and had 2 quick Online games which were fun and lag-free. Worth it if you're willing to spend big as Live the real 360 enjoyment.

On another-but still linked note, I bought 2 top games from Currys this morning for £60. Tony Hawks Project 8 and Rainbow Six:Vegas. There was a little sign saying Xbox 360 - Any 2 games for £60. So I picked them both up, took them to the till only to be told to hand over £80. Obviously I refused and stated their sale sign said otherwise, I then took the mindless fool to the sign to show him. Then their game department manager (I think) was contacted and turns out the sale shouldn't have been on as they weren't correctly registered into Currys tills yet. However they still had to sell me both games for £60 as otherwise it was false advertising so they handed the games over for the return of £60. Happy chappy.

So if anyone has a local Currys, and is pondering whether to buy a game, check out the sale. 2 for £60, top games, bargain motherfuckers.
