XBOX-Editing-Tool / Convert any picture into a matrix for pixel editing ingame

Hi there

I just found a mail with a tool my brother made up for me for PES5 & PES6 back when FC Basel wasn't ingame and I looked for perfection for our club badge.

I don't know what size you guys have to have for the pixel editor because back then everything was a little bit different....

New version where you now may choose the output size: http://domingo1893.doweb.ch/PESconvert5.html

First you choose the file on your hard disk you want to convert, then you have to choose a background color (which you may ignore when editing ingame, can't remember why we did that) then you push "Senden" and your file will be converted into a 64x64-map offering you the colors and their positions within the map (e.g. number 13 being RBG 2 2 2)

Example of the FC Basel-Badge I did with that tool (have no bigger picture but as you can imagine with that output on numbers of colors you get every nuance of the badge:

Is this of any use to any of the XBOX-Editors or are the maps now bigger than 64x64?:erm:
I might ask my brother to adjust that size or even give you guys the option to choose the output-size. You also may print the converted file by pushing the button "Drucken", be sure to print the broad way (don't remember the proper word)

Feedback?

Cheers

Domingo

It's for ingame editor, it converts the badge or whatever you want to do into a scheme giving you the rgb for every single pixel of it.
You save or print the output scheme and sit in front of your xbox and place every single pixel where it belongs.

It will offer you up to 128 colours depending on the picture you choose, made a quick example

In this example you see the original file on the left side, the kind of pixelated conversion on the right of it (ingame there is no pixelation visible it looks perfect), below that you see the number of colours the converter found in the picture s for this one it's only 71.

Below that (not visible in the picture) there is the detailed scheme on where to put all of these colours. Some of them you may ignore (those on the outside where you chose the background colour (if you choose a colour like cyan it's very obvious what colours you ignore because you want there transparency;))

It takes time and will but it's worth it if you long for the best look for your favourite team

So with this you can do perfect badges ingame :w00t

can this work with pes 12?
I'm not sure what you mean but I'm sure you can use it on the ingame editor pf PES2012 as well:
Take any badge we would use for PS3 use the converter, go to the editor and put in all the colours as we did on PS2 back when we had to.

Are you on xbox as stated in the thread title? It wouldn't make sense to use it when your on PS3 or PC:unsure::D

1) Where it says File: Datei auswählen you choose the badge you want on your harddisk
2) then you choose a background colour (this colour you will ignore afterwards cause it's where the picture is supposed to be transparent)
3) You choose the target size which would be 128x128 for club badges
4) you click on senden

Afterwards you see the original picture, next to it a pixelated version of it and below that the RGB-Details and number of colours the converter extracted from the original file. Below that is a map showing you the whereabouts of every single colour.

Back when I had to use this I always did all the colours first and after that I did one colour after the other going from pixel to pixel starting with those who are used the most often so you get the basic scheme first and afterwards you go into details using the colours that are more seldom.

It's tenacious work but in my eyes the result's worth it.

Hope anyone might use it. And if not: I made the offer ;)

for example on the chelsea picture where it says
59 - 238/23/31
on the xbox the numbers only go upto 71, they dont go to 238. i dont get that part. thats where im stuck

Oh, I see.

Maybe that wasn't the same on PS2 back when but I can make my bro change that. I'm gonna check how it is on PS3 but it might be the same nowadays.

I'll be back when he fixed that, thanks for telling...

Can you give me the details of the range you have on XBOX, please

cause on my PS3 I just checked and for shirts its 0 to 255 (I don't think anyone would do a shirt pixel by pixel) and for badges it's 0 to 63, is yours really 0 to 71?

It's now possible to chose the number of colours (255, 128, 64 or 32)

Hope you enjoy!

Cheers

Edit: My bro obviously misunderstood me, the range is still wrong, he just added the feature to choose the amount of colours...

Will be back.

Hey there..

This is brilliant..

So after while this tool.. do you still have to colour each pixel 1 at a time?

also does your machine have to be modded?

If you have bigger spaces with the same colour you can increase the size of your brush and so you don't have to 1 pixel after the other

I used to start with the details (those colours that are more seldom and afterwards I did the big picture;))

What do you mean with modded? A hacked or cracked ps3 or XBox?

Nothing like that is necessary, anyone could use the results with the ingame editor no matter what plattform he's on

Sorry I'm trying to understand how this works.

Does it let you import the image just like that or do you have to manually colour and draw each pixel
