Your Favourite "Less than Brilliant" players?

I'm not talking about the likes of Messi, Ronaldo et al.

I'll start off with mine: Juan Mata - a little genius on the ball, despite his size he is always a handful.

Juan Mata was great for me in PES 2010 but not so much this game for some reason. For me it's definitely Ji Sung Park, he's such a well-rounded player that I can honestly say in ML he is my best signing so far in terms of what he's brought to my team. I bought him in my first season for around £800k and signed him on a 5 year contract, I've been playing him as an attacking midfielder every season so far and on the last year of his contract he is now worth over £6mil while still being on 600k per season. Bargain of my ML campaign so far definitely.

I'd brought in Juan Mata recently to replace Park (Mata is 85 overall at 25 years old) and have to say am still relying on Park more even though his stats have been going downhill since the day I signed him. I don't know what it is about him but he really does everything I want him to do for some reason.

If we're talking less than brilliant players, and I call that players who play well with less than 75 for overall, then for me on MLO it has to be Fetfatzidis and Salvio, cheap as chips and always played better than their stats.

EDIT: Juan Mata isn't a less than brilliant player, he is a brilliant player! He'll be off to one of the big clubs next summer.

Rosina. He is my go-to guy when attacking, he is a beast as a left winger and I am getting pretty decent with him when cutting in on the pitch, he makes a tons of assists and he is a good dead ball shooter aswell. easily my best signing in MLO by far.

same,decent form, versitle and very very good dribbler and hes only worth around 2.5m

Yay! Weirdly, Kev doesn't do that great for me, at least when I use him online. Always end up replacing him with either Klasnic or Moreno. I shall pass your post on to Fabio... me and him are like this *crosses fingers*.

Played as Fulham online about 30 mins ago. Would like to add a bit of love for Zamora and Etuhu, who is a beast in midfield.

Kroos from Bayern has been a revelation for me in ML! Signed him on loan in D2 in my 1st season and finished up with 14 goals and 12 assists and made team of the year! I then bought him for the next season and hes continued on the same path and also his stats are rising rapidly! Also got Andy Carroll 20 goals in 1st season 9 in 10 so far in this campaign! Not too bad not too bad at all

Raul Garcia for my Atletico ML team is different class. Dude called Jurado always scores late winners despite being shit.

Cavani from Palermo(I think) is an amazing player. Well rounded, good on the ball, and scores some important goals. e.g:

1-Scored the only goal in my 1-0 super cup win over liverpool on his debut
2-Scored the killer goal in my 2-1 win over Genoa in Champs League in the last minute
3-Scored the opener against spurs in the league setting up an emphatic 5-0 victory.

Bendtner and Vela are great too

Kroos is awesome. Had him on loan for 2 seasons in my ML before signing him on a permanent.

People seem to be talking about ML mainly, what about online? I mentioned Mata and Etuhu because they have been successful online for me. Oooh, Modric too.

Lodeiro, used as LMF or LWF.

Deadly, consistently man of the match for my MLO squad.

His key stats that make him a beast for about 1.5 million (73 overall at LMF) are:

Agility: 86
Dribble precision: 86
Technique: 86
Long pass acc: 80

No major weaknesses either. I just find he pops up in defense, offense, all over the pitch, and scores goals as well.

MLO-
W. Palacios £2.5mill... wins the ball back/ breaks down play with ease, great body balance and stamina. So useful for my play style. Only player below Overal 80 in my team, and still starts above De Rossi, and L. Diarra as DMF.

Lisandro £4.6mill... Scored 64 in 101 Games so far, 27 assists. Had a choice of several strikers but went for him in the end. More mobile then Hunterlaar who he replaced, and gets in shooting positions better then L. Fabiano who I have sinse signed (31 games 14 goals 8 Assists)

M. Zarate, little legend, only cost £3m. He's pacey and has a good finish. If your in need of a striker i highly recomend him.

He had 86 overall when i signed him, dunno his starting stats.

Berengeur - DMF/SB/CMF - about 1 mil, haven't sold him yet as he's as good as my 1.5-2mil players. has a 7 for condition and man mark skill. I play him as my RB.

All these players that people mention are fine, but I didn't want this turning into another "Good players to buy in ML" type thread.

I chose Mata, because whenever I have played online with Valencia (a few occasions), he has always done the job for me.

When you play online, what "less than brilliant" players have been good for you?
