maybe because its a tactic which makes you score a goal.. I personally always try a 1-2 with one of my wingers straight from kick-off.. Sometimes it works.. Most of the times not.. but if you've discovered a way to score a goal straight from kick off by yourself (which i did), why wouldnt you...

from 'wide' camera angle press down = near corner press up = far corner press back = less shot power press forward = more shot power practice a couple of minutes in training and you will get used to it...
