My defense is pretty shit hot too, but then I'm a defender in real life so it comes naturally to me. I feel as long as you maintain your formation you can keep your opponent out (cpu or human) until the cows come home.

This is bollocks; there's people moaning that it's too hard and now people saying it's too easy. You just can't please some people. Mind you, if you truly find the game easy on 5* then i suggest you enter yourself into the national PES 3 compo, because you must be a seriously shit-hot player.

What difficulty setting?

If he meant in PES then shev is never over-rated; if you had him in your side you could guarantee a regular supply of goals in ML. I'd say the whole Brazil side are overrated in PES, esp Ronaldo. But obviously not in real life. Underrated: Mostovoi, Babangida, Sand, Joe Cole, Mendieta.

try telling that to the WE7 fan boys: they insist it is better. I can't comment myself, but from all i've heard the differences are marginal. What's the point anyway, whether the game's called PES or WE it still rocks.

Yeah, it's a sign that your friend knows a damn good game when he plays it. I wouldn't sell my copy of PES3 for love nor money (well, maybe LOTS of money) so i guess it's your loss and your friend's gain.

Ever heard of the saying 'Patience is a virtue'? Throwing any game out of the window after playing it once, especially a game like pro evo which takes TIME to pick up, is pretty stupid.

I voted ISS pro evo #1, purely because it was the first game to really demonstrate what a football came SHOULD be. I remember that I bought it when it was on the platinum range, and i also felt guilty because i was a penniless student and thought that i'd be bored of it in a month. How wrong...

Seconded. Pro Evo #3 is pretty damn realistic, it's like the World Cup is on when I'm playing it.

Yeah, and ffs the game's been out for less than a week and people are already leaping to conclusions. I've been playing the game solidly since the 17th, and the more I play it the more i love it.

You'll get used to it. The controls feel really sensitive, and the shooting in particular is reminiscent of ISS pro evo 2 IMO. I was shooting wide/over a lot at first, but now I'm blasting them in from all over the place.

Maybe the 'stutter' in my game is less severe, but to me it seemed more like slowdown. And it happened about twice last night, each time for about 1/2 a second at most. I can live with that when the game is so good.

Yeah good point. I always use the strategy buttons, otherwise the players simply won't make runs down the wing - they wouldn't in any of the other ISS games either. My housemate used to moan about his players not making runs in Pro evo #1, and i said the said the same thing to him.
