It sounds to me like you need to change your defending style. Don't just chase the ball like a headless chicken - read the game and use positioning to good effect. Try and adapt to the changes yourself, because the game's not going to adapt to suit your style.

Right on the edge of the box, it goes in 7 or 8 times out of ten with a good player. Certain goal now for my ML team (and a nice assist for Fabregas every time!)

I've done things differently this time. Went straight into ML at 3*, and have gradually moved upwards in difficulty. (Now 2010, 5*) Annoying thing is, I'll have to start new ML if I want 6*, and I can't really be bothered.

In real life, the Anfield nets don't tend to bounce the ball back. In fact, not many Premiership grounds do. In Europe and very much so in Africa and South America the nets are tighter, and do bounce the ball back. The game's got it right. (Not that it makes a difference anyway!)

I rarely get injuries... But I've had some pretty awful ones! Maradona was injured on his first game for me, first game of the season - 32 weeks!! I also picked up a long-term injury for Rooney about 12 seconds into a match.

If you have 35 shots on goal and can't score, but the computer manages to fluke one in, it's not cheating. It's bad luck. Happens all the time in real matches. Look at the Liverpool game vs. Sao Paolo - being the better team, having more shots, possession, etc. doesn't mean you win the game...

Rubbish. The refereeing can sometimes be a bit of a joke, but on the whole I think it's right. It's very hard now to play dirty and come out on top. I did read that for PES4 the referees do vary in strictness. Probably still the same.

I'm finding the fatigue levels are improving all the time, I have 4 or 5 ever-presents now in the League (though tend to rotate for cup games).

I tend to get 55-65% posession. I've tried to adapt my style so I don't make blind passes...I only go forward if I'm not going to give the ball away stupidly.

There are bad decisions, but not as many as in real football (thank God)! I scored a ridiculous goal a few days ago - I took a shot with Rooney, but a defender handballed it off the line...only for Rooney to handball it himself and smash home on the rebound!
