I've just restarted a CC and it does use a different roster as there's the preseason roster of 75 (i think it's 75?) If they had put the final cuts in there wouldn't be much do in the first pre-season apart from the games. This doesn't excuse the fact players are missing though.

Bit annoyed really as I thought the whole point of having a online CC (whether single player or not) was for small updates and roster changes to be available as soon as they upload them. I can't see why we have to wait longer for the other game modes to get a roster update.

One thing I did pick up on was me not getting a 1st down when it was half a yard past the 1st down marker. Challenged the play and was still called short, watched the replay 4 or 5 times and I'm still sure I got the first down.

On my Single player online Franchise I accidentally skipped the renew contracts bit and went into the next week, no warning or anything and I lost most my players and before I could even re-sign them from the Free agents they had instantly joined another team :| I'm that desperate I might sign...

Online is better as it saves automatically, applies patches etc automatically. They just change stuff server side and it changes for online CM whereas offline CM you have to wait for the patch to be released through sony/xbox. Yeah it's fine during normal season just annoying during preseason...

To avoid disappointment Bish don't get this game if you like the fantasy draft in Franchise mode. They've also taken out the edit player mode in the career but they're thinking about patching that back in (which I hope they do). Lots of small niggly bits to be patched too but it's an EA release...
