On my game, his curve is just barely below 95, and stays there for several years. :shocking:

By default his curve hits 91, I think. Solid goal scorer.

Just look at their curve. Some players, though, have special abilities that make them worth keeping even if their stats drop (Maldini, Larsson, etc...).

It's luck of the draw, in my experience. Nine times out of ten, negotiations will fail with a low likelihood, but occasionally, they'll succeed for whatever reason. It's worth a shot if you really want someone.

The overall aggression and magic dribble/tackle/block/loose-ball-recovery abilities of AI frustrates me to no end. That, and their keeper picks the ball up seemingly illegally (which isn't allowed to happen with my keeper) far too often.

It's "tough" with them on Amateur! On Professional and Top Player, "tough" isn't the word for it. :shocking: I usually do the "custom team", where it's basically the default team + one decent player. The 1000 points they give you spread terribly thin. :^/

Not strikers, but Riise and Gerrard both have shot power in the high 90s by default, iitc.

In the "Simple Settings" and "Set Tactics -> Controller Support" sections of the Formation settings screen, you can set the team to auto-attack or auto-defend, along with a few other options. Sounds like you're on auto-defend.
