Simple solution, heh, but have you tried tapping the analogue stick twice in the direction you're going?

I tend not to use it too often as since it can be performed so easily, it has the potential to easify (new word) the game. Good addition for multiplayer, though.

Try chesting it down and whacking it at knee or waist height. It can be hard however, since defenders often close in. If you're looking to do a first-time volley, try crossing to someone in space - without a defender hounding them - so they can wait for the ball to come at an optimum height...

Have you tried using any of the skills? Obviously, it's going to be different from the easier (and less realistic) PES2. Try changes of speed and direction too (use R2). One thing that is annoying, however, is not being able to speed past defenders with players who have high acceleration...

I chose the last option. It does vary. Often I like putting together sharp passing movements and finishing off with a tap-in or fakey around the keeper. Running at the defense and then passing to an open player for a shot is cool too.

The PC demo was weak. Very weak. That said, it was only a demo, so it's certain you would expect better things from the final version. I'll definitely give it a go, like I do every year, and reserve my judgement till then.

I normally use it on the flanks and during one-on-ones with the keeper. Makes the goalie look like a right tart when you wrong foot him and tap the ball into a virtually open net.
