I should have noted that I was talking from my experience of WE7. To my memory, there is no such sweet spot apparent in WE7. I do remember the infamous diagonal shot in PES2, however. I could get stuff in from the halfway line on a good day against a mate using that technique (or cheat).

I mentioned a rumour about Collina being the face of PES3 in this post. This is nothing how I imagined it. There's also an update now that says the PC version will be out November 21. Not sure how reliable that is.
