I think you can delete the datapack and start anew without downloading the latest datapack yet. After you've done basecopying then download and install the latest datapack as usual.

If you basecopy player with preset into fake player IG, he'll lose the preset once you implement the new dlc. But the stats etc will still be there, only the nationality will get reset. So you should basecopy only players with preset faces into Created Player.
