Yup. That goes for any game you download from PSN.

The game is downloaded to your system, not stored in a cloud. Your saved game files will be stored on your system the same as any other save files are. Once you have purchased PES 2014 from the store, if something happened to your PS3 you could re-download it. You would lose all your saved data...

Yeah, this is where PES will always have the edge over Fifa - player individuality. In Fifa, every player feels the same, but in PES you can tell the difference between the styles of the top players, including running animations (was impressed with Robben's yesterday) I mentioned yesterday...
