If it works in the same way as it did with PC then you must choose the datapack version correctly, otherwise the saved game won't match the game files and it will be overwritten (if it even opens).

For me it isn't really. The difference is that the FIFA ones appear after one season (I suppose) and PES have them from the start. Anyway, this isn't "right" or "wrong", it's just a matter of preference. Just like I prefer not to use asian/south american players.
