No. It looks like it was only for the 08/09 season. I assume we'll have to buyt the new game for it to continue. Since the first season was a trial, I don't think we get to select one free division, any more.

To be honest, they both have wide variations of goal scoring. It's just that it seems that most people find one style of play and stick to it. I don't mind it, but can't stand it when they use exploits or quit, despite having all the best players in the game. From now on, when I'm in the lead, I'll keep the score at 1-0 to me, to encourage the opposition to keep playing.

I've said before that, including a selection of sponsor logos to place on your shirts would be great. If they can't afford to include real company logos, then create plausible ones. However, they seem to have quite a few on ad boards, so we could have those on our shirts.

On the first day, I usually play a few exhibition games, have a look at the new features and have a quick go on edit mode.

I don't bother making purchasing judgements based on reviews. I'm going to download both demos. That doesn't even matter, either, to be honest. I know I'm going to get both games, anyway. If the demos aren't all that, I'll wait for the games' prices to drop to about £20. I won't be buying...

A guy at work told me he ordered it for £20 from Amazon, then it was full price the next day. I don't think he's received an email cancelling his order or explaining any sort of error.

The gameplay on FIFA09 is excellent. The issue I have with it is the off-line modes get boring quick. It's only good for online play. If PES2009 had FIFA09's gameplay engine and online system, it would have been the best football game ever.

I'd like refs to spot hand balls. There have been occasions when defenders on the post, defending corners, have raised their leg to stop the ball going in, but they actually prevent a goal with their arms, as they raise it for balance. Surely that's a penalty and straight red?

Those tactic sliders, etc are simply FIFA09 rip-offs. However, that's still a good addition to the game. You can still manage a lot of these "new" tactics on the current game, but it involves more hard work on our part, editing each individual's attack and defence instructions. The player...
