Go for the face whenever possible. Serious weak spot. My fave trick if one is facing away from you is to fire a single shot into it's back from range, then when it turns, use v.a.t.s to get as many rounds with an accurate weapon to it's mush. If you have Ol Painless, or better yet Lincons...
