I have the feeling that, whenever you select a player with that card, the other defenders will always try to stay in line with him. I can be wrong, but I do think that's how it works.

Default ML team players are weak, to say the least. It doesn't matter much if the player is tall... if he has poor positioning and response he'll always be mispositioned or late for the headers. If he has poor jump and balance he'll loose aerial challenges against more physically apt players.
