Well, it's only in the first season. That's the only way to make the game harder at first. BUT after you reach the 4th season, then the real skill begins. But at first, it seems too scripted like you said.

Sometimes even when I play 2 player matches, (1vs1),it's like that some teams like Inter and Man utd will be destined to win no matter what the other player does. Though this happened more in 09. But it's still present in 09.

I don't like the scripting. The AI can still play extremley hard but without scripting and cheating. But overall, Pes 09 is a really great game.

^That's what I did at first too. Now in my 4th season I focusing on technique shooting because since I'm a LWF I need the shooting and shot power mostly. I already have 86 speed so speed can wait a bit. Though I still have 1 point assigned to it so that it'll still develop.

After you slect to go to the match, you'll have 2 options. The bottom one is "SKIP MATCH" Yeah. This happens although not every time. I'm with inter and it still happens.

:no: It's nowhere near an arcade game. It is a bit arcade (football has become arcade lately) but it's not as arcade as pes 08. Pes 09 is leaning more towards simulation.
