Yeah you need a particular party. With the right weapons and materia and a particular strategy. Edit: What Cookie said. I had Knights of the Round. Greatest summon ever!

A friend of mine who had the walkthrough for the game did them both. He said you had to go on a shit load of side quests to get some materia and what not. He also had to have all his party to their max level and with their best weapons. Hassle.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you give it some time. There's obviously a greater depth to the game then Pokemon.

Mate if you liked the Pokemon games then Final Fantasy VIII is in a way a slightly more advanced Pokemon game.

Emerald and Ruby weapon on Final Fantasy VIII. Granted they weren't bosses you needed to defeat to beat the game but still they were near impossible enemies to defeat. Metal Gear took me quite a few tries to defeat on Metal Gear Solid. That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

I'm happy with my Kratos. I expect to see many people follow suit when God of War 3 comes out.

Anyone else been to the Red Bull Air Race thing yet? It was busy so I didn't get a chance to have a go. Well at least I didn't know how to have a go.

I've just updated my post. Looking at the games I have left I pretty much only play FIFA'09 but even that is on rare occasions. Of late I've been going back to classic PS2 games. Waiting to see what Killzone2 will be like. That may be the next game to get me back online.
