I think people may be experiencing Post-Patch Placebo (PPP)-if you read the thread: "It seems Patch 1.04 fixed eveything" (sic) , on the pesfan forum, you'll find postings where people swear that the 'keepers are just as bad as they have ever been.

Typical Konami, it's all very well them reducing the influence of 'Team Spirit' but I'd appreciate those bullsh!t low shots being saved. :) At least in FIFA the CPU scores all manner of goals.

I want to enjoy the game, I'll stick with it for now. I haven't got around to altering the attributes of the outfield players- it took long enough (about an hour) increasing the goalkeeper stats to maximum. I'm glad you're enjoying the game, don't get me wrong.

Yeah, they've become just like EA Sports are with FIFA, it's such a shame. MyClub/FUT is ruining the game, they don't care about offline players any more! Ice hockey scorelines that appeal only to casual players/kids.

Konami are pretty careless: If you have a PS4, press 'options' instead of launching the game- click on 'version history' (it shows '1.04')- even though the main screen (in-game) shows '1.03'.

PES 3 to 6 were great (PC)- PES 5 being my personal favourite. The good old days! I loved playing the Master League- it was fair, the goalkeepers worked; and when you scored a goal, it felt like a great achievement. Konami used to take great pride in PES, they don't seem to give a f*** any more...

I Was Wrong- The Goalkeepers Are Better Now! (Edit: This posting is related to TOP PLAYER mode.) I increased the goalkeeping attribute levels to '99', along with speed, defensive prowess... and anything else applicable to goalkeeping. I might as well not have a goalkeeper, same for the CPU...

Don't worry about it- I played three seasons in the FIFA Career Mode- I derived about as much 'value' from the game as possibly could. I received $33 for it- sport games lose their trade-in value fairly rapidly (and are almost worthless once the next iteration is released).

Yes, and have enjoyed playing it in Exhibition Mode- but in the ML I'm finding it too easy to score (and concede) with manual settings. I even increased the appropriate attributes to maximum, to supposedly make the goalkeepers much better. (I traded FIFA 16 and paid about $14 (inc. tax.))
