Well... is it me or isn't it the demos from the Gamescom he's is reviewing??! We all know, that the game (PES) at Gamescom wasn't up-to-date and an newer version has come out afterwards. So I guess this article is too old to make any judgement - it's the build from Gamescom... Not that I don't...

Well... FIFA certainly went down after '98 and was trailing PES without doubt for the next 10 years. But no one can deny the fact, that FIFA no longer is down after the ´09 installment and maybe also after the '10 installment. Just to prove your statement "wrong"... ;)
