Nope, never heard that before. If it was true, then it would've come out by now. The only rumour I've heard about playing PS1 and PS2 games on a PS3 is that some of them won't work on a PS3 unless you've got an emulator installed on the Hard Drive.

In theory, yes they are. You just need to find a way of getting your files off your Memory Card and onto the PS3 Hard Drive. Or you can wait for the new PS2/PS1 Memory Card adapter to come out for the PS3 and transfer your files that way.

I can confirm that young players don't develop special abilities (star attributes). If you want, you can turn them on manually in the Edit Mode - but only if the player is a real player and not a CPU generated player.
