I also play 4-2-3-1 but its more of a custom formation really that could also be viewed as a 4-3-3. I think basic shooting is better this year, I tried advanced and i just kept blasting the ball over with even the lightest of shot power.

Scouting system is pretty much the same as last year, you can set parameters for your scout to work from. In terms of transfers you can negotiate with anyone really, again, similar to last year but with more realistic prices and so far without the ridiculous COM player transfers.

I don't think so no, from what i've seen so far its all automatic. The less players you have in your squad the more wage budget you have, I found when I sold/released loads of players I had a lot more wage budget.
