After playing the demo for a few days now I feel I accurately can sum up my impressions in one sentence: Attacking is perfect, while defending is too hard/complicated compared to the ease one attacks with. Fix the sluggish defending and we'll have a pretty darn good game at our hands.

I seem to be one of the few who actually appreciated the penalties in 2011.... :cool: once I got the hang of it I almost never missed one!

I like the demo! it's an unfinished product - but it feels very promising! Been playing on PC, hardest level and the least passing-assistance allowed in the settings. These are my impressions: Good - AI feels much more refined - Much smoother gameplay (thanks to the improved AI) - Opponents...

For God's f*cking sake I cannot believe this shit. This "update" is the worst crap I've ever come across. It has made everything about the game worse. EVERYTHING. For instance - it has turned the dumb-ass AI even f*cking dumber and even more prone to "cheat". Incredible. I didn't think it was...

We seem to be of the same opinion regarding the 1.05 AI. Though - is the 1.01 AI better than the default AI in your opinion?

Playing on top player is what I did (see my previous post), and, as I wrote, I didn't feel that the AI posted a challenge.

When I run it I get a "file already patched or wrong filesize"-message and I haven't patched my game except that I updated it to v1.01 (Konami's official patch). Anyone else gets this? I tried v1, v2 and v3 of the patch - same message all along. I am from Sweden so I assume I have a...

Full version is definitely different in my opinion. Don't know if to the better or to the worse though... :erm:

I was just like you, always played every game with D-pad, but I figured to enjoy PES 2011's new passing system I should use a joystick....so I bough an Xbox 360 controller and it really works nice with the game. So I recommend you to switch as well.
