The release date for UK is the 27th of this month and I'm really looking forward to this ruggers game. It has a fully licensed 2007 Rugby World Cup and there is some classic matches, like the 2003 world cup final where you have to win the game just like Wilko did!

Anyone else looking forward to this game?

Post info and media about the game in this thread.

Ive pre-ordered this. It better be good and not just the same graphics as Rugby 06 but just updated players etc.

Rugby 06 was pretty fun, so im hoping this will be aswell.

It should be fun, with over 30 classic matches from the past

Plus the presentation of the game and menus looks a lot better than 06...

I am a huge rugby fan and as always be grossly dissapointed by the game after a few weeks. I just wish they put a little more effort into the game, rugby is such a fast, aggresive and technical sport and EA fail to achieve any of this in the Rugby games. Having a bunch of Canadians developing the game doesn't help matters much either they even got the rules wrong in the 06 such as the scrum rotation and a bunch of other niggly little things.

What a load of shit!! Those motha fuckin money loving bastards. They simply took 06 changed the packaging and a few things here and there and Voila!! just before the World cup.

I bought the game on Friday after work and changed it for God of War 2 (which doesn't read on my ageing ps2) on Saturday.

I'm a Rugby League fan. Is there a game for that? I'd love to play teams like Broncos, Bulldogs, Tigers etc.

I had it for a few hours but returned it. If you want it for entertaining a group of friends for some rugga or dont have 06-get it.

If you want technical things like player likeness, ball physics etc. or if you looking for a major improvement on 06 or if you want a decent one player game with some longevity then stay the hell away.

I hope that EA can give us something good for the next-gen.

I must say, the only thing I hate about the game is when you create a player. Go through the trouble of creating his face then when you play with the cunt, the face is default.

Everytime I've made a player this happens. They all have exactly the same default faces. Fucking annoying.

Original?

I'll tell you what's annoying about every EA Rugby game is that they're all diabolical, they may be entertaining for around five minutes - one hour, then it goes rapidly downhill. It is, unsurprisingly, exactly the same as Fifa in its problems... that's not rugby. The greatest rugby game was Jonah Lomu back in the day but that was only because it was simple and the standard hadn't been set for sports games.

Until someone with a similar passion for rugby as Seabass has for football then there's only going to be this drivel on the market. When you can't even be bothered to ensure the rules are correctly implemented you know it's time to give up. EA are unsurprisingly cashing in on the World Cup and ergo I refuse to buy the game.

It's a shame more people don't give these games a miss, then perhaps EA may decide to put a little more effort into production rather than churn out, at best average games.

Jonah Lomu wasn't just the best Rugby game ever, for me, it's the most entertaining game I have ever played on. I got fucking hours out of that.
