Yeah I must say the shorts look as if there is a gale force wind blowing up from the pitch, it really looks PS1 shit.

But that doesn't make me negative about PES09, I still think it's going to blow us all away, but it's these little details thats the difference between a good game and a great games!

na i never noticed it either. did one of the older pes have an option to change the length of the shorts. i know there was an option for shirt types, like spurs skin tight kappa shirt.

it would be neat if the classic players had the shorts they played in in their day, maradona or pearce for example.

Didn't know that.. I think Konami should re-introduce that Feature, that would be one of those little Details that do make a difference.

I hope Konami implements a similar feature for the Shorts -because- Honestly, they look like Basketball Shorts; Huge and Baggy.

Nothing to worry about -but- it just annoys me. Why??

Is there any Reason at all that can justify WHY the PS2 versions actually had better Editing Modes and Gameplay??

Most people just want the Edit Mode to go back to the way it was in PES5.. But no one is asking for something even better. Shouldn't we get an even better Editing Mode than either of the Past Versions??

This are Next Gen Consoles, so maybe we deserve a Next Gen Editing Mode.

When it comes to edit modes, the most important feature to me is the kits. I want the kit options to be wider, but not too outlandish. Konami released images of that white with red "lightning bolts" kit, but I hope the classics are still there, with modern kit templates.

Honestly, I don't see why they cannot do it better than Past versions.. Next Gen Consoles are easily Capable of doing that.

Anyways, I just want 2 more Options (Templates?) for the Kits -and- New Options for Logos; Placing them on the Socks, and on the Sides of the shirts. Is that too much to ask??

Would also like a New feature such as choosing different Types of Shorts -because- the Shorts are looking Unrealistically Huge, they Look like "Basketball Shorts".

If we could at least, Edit the Shorts so that they look like proper Football Shorts -then- that would cool.

The other thing I hope I get is the Face Editing, I want it to go back to the way it was before, with 300+ Real faces to choose from and 100+ Hairstiles -and- "Special Hairstyles", so I can edit the likes of Zidane, Baggio, Valderrama, etc, etc..

That's everything I'm asking from the Editing Mode.. it's Not much to ask and I hope at least some of the features make it into the game.

i have a suspision.. suspicion????? however it's spelled.... that konami were just lazy with last years edit mode, the reason for the ps2 having a better one was that the details were already there. from what i saw the ps2 editing was almost identical to the earlier ps2 pes game.

as for the next gen mode, i think we will now get the edit options that should have been in 08, it's just taken them until now for some reason to get it complete.

Yeah I think so too, that's why I said that they must try to make as much as possible editable. Pitch patterns, balls etc. I know in Fifa you can choose what pitch pattern you would like to play on out of a couple of options. Not that it makes a difference, but I reckon since Konami does lack licenses, they must make as much as possible editable, thus they will cancel out the lack of licenses since we can edit things to look they way they should.

And for crying out loud, why the fuck was there only space for 8 custom kit imports last year, and this year only 40. 40 means only one league home and away kits...it's next gen, I'm sure they can make the total something like 150-200 even more.

Anyways, I think Pitch Patterns, Stadiums and all that would be awesome to edit. But before all those Features, I would just like to see an awesome Kit Editing and Face Editing.

yeah who knows right? but I really think that it won't take that much more effort to make the total 200 instead of 40.

anyways, i agree with you on the kit and face editing, that is the most important, but they should take that to a whole new level as well! You must be able to place anything anywhere on a jersey, for instance you should have no problem whatsoever placing a logo/emblem on the sleeves, as you mentioned logo's on socks etc.

yeah i remember that...

I used to think it looked great... and a constant reminder of your successes, but i always wanted the other teams who won to get the same thing, but it was only the user team who got it

i dont remember this happening but i did put writing on my teams shirt in 5, make it really small and put it above and below the teams crest.

something like F.A. CUP FINAL 2006 or LEAGUE WINNERS 2006
