Today we have seen that many people are saying that the PES2009 edit mode is indeed a very good one. I apologise but a think its a total disappointement and that they are allways going backwards instead of forwards. I can explain it:

-You can't change League Emblems (Don't know if you can even change the names)
-You can't put more then one chest logo
-You can't put both logos or emblems in shorts or socks
-You can't move the emblem in the shirt (Not sure)
-There aren't third equipments
-You can't make logos from scratch or write anything
-You can't put any logo in the back of the shirt (Most of the German teams have writings in the back of the shirt)
-Its impossible to have one logo for each of the two equipments (Lots of teams have different logos in the two shirts)

I think these are enough reasons to make me surely say that PES2009 equipment editor is a bad one, mostly because some of the possibilities that I have exposed here were already possible in older PES Games, and since we are playing much more powerfull console, I'd also expect much more of the games.

Completely agree.. One of the Few guys who tell it as it is.

This is Next Gen.. WHY is the Editing Mode Inferior to the ones we had back in the PS2 versions??

Would really like to know the Reason -because- I fail to understand WHY.

But you can create much better sponsors and kits this time. I know in ps2 it had the writing but this time, it's much better. All the sponsors can have a colour change so you'll import 1 picture per team and the sponsor will look perfect.

I know you can indeed change the league names, but I hear you dude, it is somewhat a dissapointment. I must say I don't think the latest bunch of pics show off everything you can do, but that remains to be seen.

I agree its not going forwards as much as we'd like but its hardly going backwards is it? PES2008 was the one that went backwards, PES2009 is back to around PES5 standard.

You do have valid points though :)

sure you wont be able to make perfect kits but they will be dam close, im sure konami would get sued if they gave us the ability to recreate exact replicas, kind of like how PESgaming was getting in trouble for hosting EPL option files

come on, it's not that bad. the chelsea kit shown looked really good. that was only a rough effort too. imagine what you should be able to do if you get the hang of it.

i wouldn't mind seeing how many kit templates there are tho.

who said u can't change the team badge???? did u even see the arsenal and chelsea kits???

also the edit mode is an old build and it isn't even completed yet they still made a respectable chelsea kit

and the arsenal kit was rushed

exactly... people keep complaining about everything but it is a lot better interms of the look of a specific sponsr, and also some teams have the same sponser so as long as you can change the colour of it i will be happy...

But what you 2 aint gettin is the fact we are now on a different level compared to what we use to be (in terms of old gen - next gen) I think what they are saying is this years PES edit mode should blow away any other PES edit mode created. & I agree with that, what was the point in upgrading the game to next gen if they aint gonna use the full facility of the machine. Fucking pathetic.

I guess you can because of a screenshot. It had Press X (360) for "Colour Adjustment" Another screenshot with this option was taken but it was from the chelsea badgs and you ccan select RGB so I guess since you have the colour adjustment option for the sponsors, you'll be able to change it's colour. If you use your imagination you can also create the brand too. Just make the sponsor and brand in photoshop and save them as PNG in 1 file. Do the sizing aswell. It'll be pretty good.

if you could come up with something better go ahead. im sure it wasnt a straight swap from current to next gen, different tools to work with, more detail required, all time consuming, and with a 1 year deadline when most games are in development for over 3 years, progress is bound to be slow they have done it right and focused on the core by the looks of things, making a solid game, with enough edit features.

man i think i prefered it when everybody who wanted licenses just played FIFA and people who wanted a good game played PES, with the mix comes alot of moaners, i dont think id care if they missed an edit mode out altogether, or wait i didnt in pes6 too busy actually playing the game.

some people need to man up and stop moaning about tiny indiscriminate things, personnaly the edit mode is plentiful, any more and you would be spending all the time in there changing absolutley everything, thats no fun

But the truth is, they have had 2 years nob head, possibly even 3 consdering they start on the next game before the previous has even been released. I appreciate that they have "POSSIBLY" done all they can, but I was stating that some people feel we deserve more, and sometimes I agree.
