Totally agree.Every pes i bought on ps2 initially i thought this is shit and after a week or 2 i thought they were the best ever.the potential in this game is fantastic and i cant wait for the new game.

Ain't tried the demo, but the sound effects sound awful.

Is the gameplay any good? I've loved PES5 to PES2008 on the PS2. Will I like this game? I've heard that it is very different to the PS2 versions of the game and is quite slow.

i think this new pes is immense mind u ive only played pes since 6 i was a fifa boy b4:( but i relised how good pes is and with a decent edit mode fifa is going down this year ROLE ON THE RELEASE DATE THIS GAME IS GONNA B GR8!!!!

Ok playing like 4 games already, i think with the ref being a bitch and giving yellows, and as far as tackling goes you should only slide tackle when you know for sure you'll get all ball, any 50/50s hes going to card you.

pes 2009 is just a tweaked version of 2008, its slightly quicker the graphics are better and I would imagine the online lag has been sorted.

but player animations are the same, the dynamics are the same i.e shooting hasnt changed a bit, still soft and pathetic, passing is the same, rooney, eto ronaldo are unstoppable technical players are bypassed. movement A.I is awful

and player stats identical apparently fernando torres hasnt improved a bit in one year, shot accuracy 87 ehh wrong he is without a doubt the best finisher in the world (and im a Man U fan) technique 79 to put that in perspective robbie keanes is 90...

so im guessing it will be villa and adriano up front for most ppls master league squads again.

i dont hate it but i dont notice enough of a difference for me to part with £40.

hate fifa sooooo stick with pes 06 with my mates i guess

I have played a few games now and i am undecided.

I hate how the ball sticks to the grass like it weighs a tonne.
I hate how players always use their right foot when using the left would be more practical.
Also i hate that they have changed the right stick to be manual pass as i always use that as a skill button like the fancy turn thing

How is the speed more quicker? Can't you notice it has slowed down quite a bit? Also players like Rooney and Ronaldo aren't unstoppable you probably aren't defending well.

Thank you sir. Enjoying it so far. Still think it will be a lot better experience when the game is released. Definitely need a longer match and a few games to get into it.

way 2 slow ball sticks 2 the grass the ball floats theres no physics i think i might get fifa this year its alot better than this tripe and im a die hard pro evo fan i think im converted they fucked up big time im actualy crying
