Pretty simple, vote as to what the game of your year was.

Has to be PES2009 so far for me, although this may change depending on how good FallOut 3 is which I'm hopefully getting from Santa. I'm completely addicted to PES's Become A Legend mode, it's a top addition to the game and therefore makes it my Game of the Year.

When I think about it though, there hasn't really been any big contenders.

Well I prefer Pro Evo but it isn't on the poll so I voted for GTA, which I also loved.

Haven't played many games this year, but this was a toss up for me.

For pure fun, chaos, insanity and gang beatings, it has to go to Saints Row 2 for me.

COD:WAW would come a close second for Nazi Zombies.

The only reason for anyone choosing PES as their game of the year would be if that's the only game they've played all year. Left4Dead is probably my game of the year just because it's great fun and doesn't seem to get boring. Fifa 09 is a close second, but PES isn't even in my top 10 of the year.

It's between GTA4, Gears Of War 2 and PES2009 for me. I went for GTA4, because it was so massive, but GOW2 was a much better story.

Fuck, I just changed my mind to GOW2 as I was typing, but I've already voted. Oh well.

Poll fail. Uncharted was a 2007 game.

I voted for GTA 4. It got a bit boring after a while but it provided so much fun, especially when playing with friends. A special mention goes to MGS4 and Dead Space.

Metal Gear Solid 4, followed by Grand Theft Auto 4 and LittleBigPlanet. It would have been GTA 4 but the online connection sucked, and there wasn't as much ridiculous fun to be had as San Andreas.

Uncharted was last year btw.

Metal Gear Solid 4 for me. I loved it. Short but sweet. I'll play through it again soon when I have time.

I've only bought a few games this year. Pro Evo 2009, Madden 09 the best ones. Haven't played Football Manager enough yet to comment on it fully.

Voted for Uncharted ...had a feeling it was earlier than 08.

Other than Uncharted, I'd go with GTA IV, no doubt. Yes, the story had repetitive missions, but the online play was and still is fantastic.

Left4Dead seems epic, played it round my friends place on his PC and enjoyed it thoroughly. Now I'm at Uni though, money is tighter and I struggle getting online so it's single player games all the way for me (until now since I'm back home).

Only games I own from this year are COD5, PES2009 and GTAIV.

COD5: Very good game, but I haven't particularly had the benefit of playing it much as COD is all about online play and I've been forced to play single player since it came out. I'm enjoying online at the moment mind, although it just doesn't have the fun factor that COD4 had.

PES2009: Very solid game, I really do fail to understand people's complaints about it. I just think everyone is expecting Konami to make the massive leaps it did in the early stages of the game series, which they can't seem to comprehend won't happen anymore. It's a great game, minus the online mode it seems, PES 2008 was shite because it had no working online mode and also no innovation for single player. Whereas this year, despite online still not working properly, the single player has been greatly enhanced with Become A Legend (BAL). For example, I played on BAL the other night from about 1am till 5:30am, whilst talking to my mate on Xbox Live.

GTAIV: Disappointing to say the least. Then again, I was setting my standards too high after playing such a classic as San Andreas (which I'm contemplating buying off the Xbox Live marketplace). I'm starting to get back into GTAIV, but the game just isn't half as fun as SA was, the customisation is obviously lacking in comparison, and not being able to buy property means money is completely worthless. Rockstar have clearly chosen realism over the fun factor, something I'd hardly ever recommend when making a game. Still, GTAIV is a good game, but only in short periods.

PS: Should I be looking forward to getting FallOut 3 for Christmas ? :happy:

The problem I have is that I've played Fifa 09 as well as PES2009 and Fifa 09 - even though it has its flaws - is superior in the most important parts of a football game. Also, the Be A Pro mode is much better than Become A Legend on PES, as well as online working with very minimal lag, so with the options of either putting PES in my PS3 or Fifa, I'm always gonna put Fifa in. I prefer the general movement of players and the variation in the shooting in Fifa too; it often seems too easy to score long shots on Fifa with the top players.

Its gotta be Fallout for me....I played this for hours on end, very much like when oblivion came out, and i dont think im anywhere near doing everything I can possibly do on this game!
