Wait...
GTA was great, but the lack of fun cheats killed it's replay value a bit. GOW2 was good, the campaign was great but the multiplayer lets it down though, the first GOW was far superior multiplayer wise in my opinion.

COD is great, have yet to play multiplayer, but I'm going to start the campaign on veteran now. I've played a bit of Fallout 3, it was great, but I haven't gone back to it for reasons unknown.

I'm gonna go for GTA.

Based on length of time played, then I'd say Fallout 3. Totally engrossing & despite how much I've completed, there is still loads to do.

Others enjoyed were COD4, GTA, Saints Row 2 and Fable2.

Winner, just for pure enjoyment must go to LBP. So simple yet so addictive.

For me it has to be Saints Row II

I played GTA4 and it just not the same....It's too seroius for me

Saints Row II captures that excitement that early GTA did :)

I haven't played Metal Gear Solid 4, or GTA IV. And I don't own LittleBigPlanet, but I have played it quite a lot at a friends. Strangely, even though I've enjoyed it, I haven't felt the urge to buy it. But this friend keeps hassling me to buy it, to hurry up and buy it, to buy it soon, to fuckin' buy it, etc, so I'll probably end up with it in my collection sooner or later.

Fallout 3 is the only game on the poll that I own. It's also the only game of those on the poll that urged me to open the wallet, even with non-essential spending being off the cards.

I'm voting for Fallout 3, regardless of this, because part of great games (that are also big titles) is that they force you to open the wallet, and even with all the previews, reviews, videos, and viewing of my friends having a bash at 'em, none of the others have managed to do that (and even PES 2009 managed it). Where as a few reviews, and videos, had me stricken with an undeniable need for Fallout 3.

For a useless shred of information; Condemned 2 is the newest game that after seeing a friend play it has cursed me with a desire to get it!

MGS4 obviously. No other game compares. It's the only game I could play multiple times, that is how good it is.

GTA was great when I first got it. Couldnt put it down. But with the lack of cheats and kinda dire online play (after a few shots at COD4 and a few Cops and Crooks, it does get boring). Hope they bring out some decent DL so that it becomes my game of 2009 too.

But NBA 2k9 isnt on that list and that is my game of the year. But GTA it is.

Ditto! That's my game of the year followed by Saints Row2 (which was tons of fun!).

If you guys want to see a sports game which is both fun and technical (I own every single sports game out there and nothing comes close), get NBA2K9, even if you're not
a fan of the NBA

Yeah and its very underrated. The little things make it brilliant. Konami take note, the crowds in every single arena are done right down to a tee and even player traits are perfect.
