If Konami was to include some "unlockable" Classic Players with their Real Faces and Names; who would you like to see? Name your Top 10. I'm excluding Pele and Maradona because I'm assuming that it would be a hard task.

1 - Romario
2 - Roberto Baggio
3 - Zinedine Zidane
4 - Johan Cruyff
5 - Bobby Moore
6 - Carlos Valderrama
7 - George Best
8 - Matt Le Tissier
9 - Franz Beckenbauer
10 - Marco Van Basten

1 - Michael Laudrup
(THE MOST underrated greatest player ever - there's a good reason he was named the best foreign player in the spanish league the last 100 years recently!!! Think about how many great players who has played in the spanish…)
2 - Romario When you say Laudrup, you have to say Romario!
3 - Hristo Stoichkov Another part of the Barca Dream Team
4 - Zinedine Zidane
5 - Marco Van Basten
6 - Roberto Carlos
7 - Karl-Heinz Rummenigge
8 - Gabriel Batistuta
9 - Johan Cruyff
10 - Dennis Bergkamp
11 - Peter Schmeichel - You've got to have a keeper as well!! ;o)

(Man! I could have named 30 more amasing players!!!)

Edit:
DAMN!! I forgot all about Ronaldo (#9) and Gianfranco Zola (THE player who made Chelsea before they got bought!!)

Edit, edit:
Got a bit carried away before with Michael Laudrup.
He was elected best foreign player i Spain for the last 25 year i 1999:
http://www.123football.com/players/l/michael-laudrup/index.htm

But that's still pretty impressive!!!

1 - Jay Jay Okocha
2 - Marco van Basten
3 - Paulo Maldini (seeing as he's retiring supposedly at the end of the season)
4 - Gabriel Batistuta
5 - Dennis Bergkamp
6 - Zinedine Zidane
7 - George Best
8 - Franco Baresi
9 - Kenny Dalglish
10 - Ronaldo (Original No. 9 version of course)

I get the feeling that most lists will feature at least a couple of the same players.

Yeah but Ronaldo plays for Corinthians, he should feature in the game. And I think Roberto Carlos already features in the game, I'm not sure if he'll feature in PES 2010 -but- he is in PES09.

Anyways, the Top 10 is just to know the Classic Players that everyone would like to see. But I really have no problem with you naming 30 other players.

Romario for me is one of the best players ever, I would place him amongst the Top 5 best players of all-time.

One of the most underrated players that I know of is Carlos Valderrama, I remember he played injured against Germany in World Cup 1990, he basically didn't run but still managed to provide two outstanding passes. It's a shame that Colombia wasn't very good defensively.

Dennis Bergkamp didn't make my Top 10, but he's another player that I'd like to see on High Def.

Technically i would Bergkamp is one of the greatest players ever, very intelligent with the ball & a good finisher who was capable of scoring some truly amazing goals.

I would think Bobby Carlos will be in PES 2010 as he's still at Fenerbache is he not???

Bergkamp was a great player, but I always liked Matt Le Tissier a bit more... because with Le Tissier you could expect anything, some of his goals are plain out ridiculous.

The best quality about Bergkamp was his First-Touch.

And yeah, Roberto Carlos plays for Fenerbache and should feature in PES 2010.

I also expect that Ronaldo will also feature, as he plays for Corinthians.

You know, some of the players mentioned have all been in PES, either in this one or the previous ones. 2009's class was really poor and im sure alot of you will agree. But when I looked at 2009's group, I just thought that Konami were trying to throw some variety at us but obviously we didnt like it. I mean Les Ferdninand for Bobby Charlton? Really?

Sorry about that - I don't own PES 09 - I choose FIFA for the first time ever this year, and pretty much love it. Looking very much forward to PES' fight for the crown next year though. I'll be looking out for PES before FIFA.

Back on topic.
I remember Romario once said, that the best player he ever played together with, is Michael Laudrup.

Some videos for those of you, who aren't old enough to remember:

(His goals are good - his assists are even better!!)

Well… the list is never-ending on youtube I can see. If you got some time on your hand, please do yourself a favor and watch some of them.

3. Bobby Moore
4. Michel Platini
5. Roberto Baggio
6. Gabriel Batistuta
7. Zico

I think Pele and Maradona would be easier to get than these two. Both of them don't like gimmicky stuff. When the 100 greatest living footballers list came out, they refused to take part in the photoshoot and played it down so much.

Yeah that sounds like Cruyff... didn't know Van Basten was the same.

If they refuse to feature in a Football Simulation, then it could be Di Stefano and Eusebio, or Platini.

I can always use Luka Modric's Face for Cruyff... not identical, but quite similar.

As for Pele and Maradona, I'm guessing they would be more expensive than any other players.

I don't like referring to it all the time, but its the same case with Basketball games these days, they just do not like to be licensed. Michael Jordan, the greatest player of all time will probably never be in a game again.

And maybe the same can be said with proper faces for legends.

when they die most of their likenesses will be dirt cheap...

here's hoping now that they're useless to us they'll go quickly so that they can be useful again...
