I don't understand why some people think that Konami should change the core gameplay in PES2010? We all know that the gameplay is one of the main reason that makes PES so popular in almost a decade(more?). IMHO Konami should only remake the ball control animation, running animation and collision detection like in FIFA their main rival. (these are the only few things that I like in FIFA)
So there's no need to overhaul the whole core gameplay in PES. I know some people here will get angry and said that because of me that PES wont't improve in the near future, but don't you think that most of the people who plays FIFA series (even the new FIFA 10 demo) said "it's boring!" after plays a few matches and will get back to play PES eventually? For me, I said FIFA still can't figure out the "secret recipes" in terms of gameplay from PES, that's why PES always have that replay value and longevity. Don't get me wrong, I like FIFA, I play it a lot when FIFA09 (X360) release last years, and put my PES2009 aside. But after only 3 weeks, I get bored, then I just put back PES2009 in my X360, and guess what? I still play it untill today!
I quote this line from one of a reviewer here "... fifa10 puts the enthasis very much on the keepers as the defensive side of the game is weak and you end up going one on one too much..." This is the problem I faced on last year FIFA09 where 80% of the goals were on 1 on 1 situation with the GK, why is this happen? Simple, because the core gameplay in FIFA hasn't catch up with PES. FIFA almost stole everything from PES, but gameplay? no way. Seems that Seabass still keep his "secret recipes" in his own basement! ~jokes~ XD I don't blame EA for stealing some game concepts from Konami, it's for their own good actually to make a better and decent game for all of us.
Anyhow, I'm satisfy with the new PES2010 demo overall, some few things need to be fix though, eg: Stupid GK A.I. (occasionally the GK did make some great saves, but it's rare!) and through balls, For God's Sake please FIX it!! Lastly, polygons detection (players limbs going through each other, LOL!) also need to be fix urgently!
Thanks for reading, just my 2 cents
cheers~
Sorry for my English.
