I don't understand why some people think that Konami should change the core gameplay in PES2010? We all know that the gameplay is one of the main reason that makes PES so popular in almost a decade(more?). IMHO Konami should only remake the ball control animation, running animation and collision detection like in FIFA their main rival. (these are the only few things that I like in FIFA)

So there's no need to overhaul the whole core gameplay in PES. I know some people here will get angry and said that because of me that PES wont't improve in the near future, but don't you think that most of the people who plays FIFA series (even the new FIFA 10 demo) said "it's boring!" after plays a few matches and will get back to play PES eventually? For me, I said FIFA still can't figure out the "secret recipes" in terms of gameplay from PES, that's why PES always have that replay value and longevity. Don't get me wrong, I like FIFA, I play it a lot when FIFA09 (X360) release last years, and put my PES2009 aside. But after only 3 weeks, I get bored, then I just put back PES2009 in my X360, and guess what? I still play it untill today!

I quote this line from one of a reviewer here "... fifa10 puts the enthasis very much on the keepers as the defensive side of the game is weak and you end up going one on one too much..." This is the problem I faced on last year FIFA09 where 80% of the goals were on 1 on 1 situation with the GK, why is this happen? Simple, because the core gameplay in FIFA hasn't catch up with PES. FIFA almost stole everything from PES, but gameplay? no way. Seems that Seabass still keep his "secret recipes" in his own basement! ~jokes~ XD I don't blame EA for stealing some game concepts from Konami, it's for their own good actually to make a better and decent game for all of us.

Anyhow, I'm satisfy with the new PES2010 demo overall, some few things need to be fix though, eg: Stupid GK A.I. (occasionally the GK did make some great saves, but it's rare!) and through balls, For God's Sake please FIX it!! Lastly, polygons detection (players limbs going through each other, LOL!) also need to be fix urgently!

Thanks for reading, just my 2 cents :) cheers~
Sorry for my English.

Agreed but yea we just asking to get flamed . Seems like there's a big improvement in every department this year so I can't ask for more. People are forgetting that it takes more than 1 year to make a great game. I mean many games get 4 years of development time and many are asking for a perfect game built from ground up in a year. It just ain't gonna happen. As long as Konami lose their tradition of taking 2 steps forward 1 step back, which seems like it's been taken care of this year, then just imagine how good Pes 2011 is going to be.

They should fix the running animations, the defending, bring back and add to the edit options, add more realism and details and atmosphere and add variety to the sidelines (edit coach face, subs warm up when you tell them too, coaches reactions), add dynamic weather, etc., as the game still looks generic at certain points and sterile. Also licenses and more real faces would add a lot to the game.
AND PUT BACK THE NECK WARMERS, LOW SOCKS, (UNTUCKED SHIRTS BACK ON) AND SUBSTITUTIONS FOR BOTH OPPONENTS.

So so true, but I don't want to get flame :(

@ HZD
Dynamic weather sounds nice, about the licensing issue, Konami has been face this problem for so long, I still don't understand is it because of EA already "grab" them all?? Or is it too expensive to get? Or cannot have those licenses at 2 different games?
By the way you mention about the untucked shirts and substitutions? I can assure you they already have it in the demo.

OK, thanks. Substitions for both opponents? In 09 they had only sub scenes for when you are winning. Sub scenes are important too when you are losing, to get the excitement up. Years before, PES/WE had dirty uniforms and low socks and etc etc., so we want those back.
I really doubt if EA has exclusivity on the Premier League, but I hope they will negotiate with Konami for this. Also, we need many licensed national sides as I am sooooooooo tired of editing the kits etc., unless you guys can help me with a PS3 option file (via USB). PES is a total football great game. With these fixes, it will be awesome. I love the Dutch team. Everytime I see their blazing orange kits,.... words cannot describe the feeling. FIFA's orange kits seem so.... generic and low-key...
Waiting on the pics for the Dutch team, including Eljero Elia and Chris van Der Wiel, Marcellis, LeRoy Fer, Braahfeid, Vlaar, Donk, etc.
Thanks.

HZD, you are right indeed, I just realize there is no sub scene when you're losing, they only showed it when you at the winning side, OMG I've been playing PES over a decade how come I didn't notice it before? swt... And yes, about the dirty jerseys and low socks, they should bring those back.

p/s: I'm also the supporters for the Dutch team, eg: Bergkamp, Overmars, De Boer twin brothers, are my favorites Dutch players, btw I'm from Malaysia :)

Yep, Konami took out the sub scenes for opponent too, and when we are losing or when game tied. What in the world would they do that?? ADD MORE, REFINE MORE, BUT NEVER TAKE OUT FROM WHAT IS POSSIBLY THE BEST FOOTIE GAME ON THIS PLANET. Geezus, Konami. But I have faith they have listened to us.

Yes, ORANJE is the best. The pics of the other teams are very mouth watering. What about the Dutch pics, Konami??

Thanks, and best to all.

I really hope everything we noticed/not noticed will be fixed/improved on the final version.

It should but changed because its pretty much the same engine as pes1, some of the animations look awful especialy compared 2 fifa.

@ Tommy, I have to agree with you about the animation on PES, I've seen some same animation again and again and again for years!! That's why I'm hoping them to redo it, but some of the new animation on the demo are noticeable, and they're sweet :) I especially like the new "heading" and "clearance" animation.

Looking forward to those animations. By th way, the untucked shirt problem really has been fixed? Last year, this option was taken out (but you could see untucked shirts in replays but not in the game , which was ridiculous and took out the realism). I hope this year we can choose and SEE the untucked shirts in-game and in replay. I also really want low socks along with the high socks, plus neck warmers, those goggles like Edgar Davids, finger band, injury bandages, those necklaces that south american players wear, along with the usual options. More boots and balls too.
AND PLEASE, don't force us to play some season 2 or 3 DL cup to unlock Van Bommel (and no real face too), Engelaar and Boularouz. We want classic players too like Cocu, Kluivert, Bergkamp, Frank DeBoer, Van Hooijdonk, Overmars WITH REAL FACES (or those class preset faces but touched up like the new pics).

On top of all this, the licensed HOlland league should have many new real faces, along with the other major leagues too. PS3 50 gigabyte disc can handle all this.

HZD, the untucked shirt problem has been fixed in the lastest PES, you can see it clearly even in the gameplay it self, and of course also in the replays. Sad thing is now the low socks are gone. :(

HZD, this is the Dutch team that I manage to captured from youtube, lol hope you'll like it.

TerryField:
I heard that last year, didn't they have untucked shirts in demos, but when game came out the untucked shirts were gone..?...
I hope this won't happen with the final game this year.
I really am perplexed what happened to all those edit options (necklaces, low socks, goggles, neck warmers), and dirty uniforms and breath vapor during cold matches..?
I think the gameplay itself is being refined more as we speak, but I hope they would add variety and more tension on the sidelines. For example, the coaches and substitutes should be LOOKING at the ball action instead of looking straight ahead like zombies. And when we want to, we should be able to select subs to warm up to be substituted (and ALL the sub scenes should be in, when losing, winning, tied, and for both teams).

Wow, thanks for the capture! I think I saw that trailer but didn't manage to take a capture. THEY ARE LOOKING GOOD. Do you think they will put Eljero Elia and Chris Van Der Wiel and Braahfeid in? I hope the won't take out the real faces of the other less known players like De Cler, Maduro, Krompkamp, .
I am glad VAN BOMMEL is in. No more unlocking him from some long season or D cup mode.
Boularouz? Engelaar? WOnder if they will be in...

THANKS AGAIN.

when u look at the star team...about 70% is real face. but when u look at a low team...maybe 1 or maybe not.

for me a real face is so important....player that dont have real face..i wont buy.

Hi gitar, sorry for my late reply. Yes I'm Malaysian, nice to meet you here :) ermmm.. I rarely play PES online tbh, I just like to play co-op mode with my bro and cousins, maybe I should try to play online sometimes, FYI i have X360, not PS3 though.
