Like FIFA 10 did?
The last FIFA game to blow minds was FIFA 09, if I remember correctly FIFA 10 was very anticlimactic. I'm not disagreeing that FIFA is the king right now, but it still has nothing on PES for individuality. As bad as PES has gotten technically the core of the game remains unbroken, an Andrea Pirlo still plays and feels very different to a Ricky Kaka, a David Beckham feels different to an Aaron Lennon, a Del Piero feels different to a David Trezeguet. One of PES' numerous problems is the lack of a challenge from the computer, which leads to the player having little need for a diverse set of tactics to combat it, which leads to an excellent tactical system, capable of fully exploiting the various abilities of the game's player's, being wasted in the game largely played on single player and can only really serve you properly against a human opponent. In FIFA there's some player individuality, but it's a more generic faster/slower, stronger/weaker kind of difference than the subtle technical aspects PES is known for. You don't feel a subtle control of the ball, or a sense of you dictating the play with intricate passing when you're controlling Xavi or the necessity of having a similar type of player to play that kind of football, nor the tight, slight of foot dribbling or sudden burst of pace with Lionel Messi. You can dribble with him but its not the mazy, quick turn dribbles he's known for, more the 'get past him and out-pace him' kind that so many of the players in that game have.
