If that is the case, I'll just stick to importing mine from HK, where it's so much cheaper there. Don't get me wrong, I can certainly wait for a month, but I don't want to pay the ridiculous European tag price for the PS3. Also, in HK apart from it being cheap (and the games region free, halleluja), the BD movies may not coincide with the European region, but I have relatives in America who can just simply send me some Blu-Ray movies time to time (Japan console coincides with American BR region). DVD region on the other hand, for Europe and Asia are the same, so that's a plus. Afterall, I don't really care about Blu-Ray movies while I can stick with the DVD, a PS3 is a gaming console to me not a theatre system.
And I'll be honest, in my all years collecting Sony products, this has to be the most expensive/complicated one. What's up with the HD High Definition, BR, 1080i and all that? At the end, I just want to play a damn game! I feel for some in my position, the technology these days is just too complicated. I won't be getting a mint TV anytime soon, but hey, that doesn't mean the PS3 can't play on Standard TV.
Amid all the accusations or cristicism the PS3 has, I'll still get it (the cheaper way ofcourse) and enjoy it. I've been waiting for this machine a year. It's going to be worth it, few games that should keep me up until the big ones come out. And for all the English out there, imagine Pro Evo 7 on the PS3. Now come the f**k on!
