Me 'n' my mate who I play against regularly have a rule that you can change the formation as much as possible, but can only make one change to the starting line-up (to avoid a complete re-vamp). Also, it stops the other person from playing the "cheat" wingers.

I can see Flipper's point (in response to your question Marky) about Technique and Speed. If a player is quick enough (Speed) and has a good enough touch (Technique) to get himself into a good position to score, Shot Technique no longer becomes an issue - you only need about 72+ Shot Accuracy...
