i hear you. really frustrates the opposition doesn't it? recoba is causing havoc for me at the moment, but ronaldinho was absolutely on fire when i used to play as barca. and if you've got the ball, the opposition can't score. simple game, this football lark...

Real's CB's aren't the best, guess that's realistic though. My favourite team's either Barcelona or Man Utd. Inter are growing on me too...

Are those his CM4 stats? In my copy of PES3 he's horribly underrated. Could be time for some editing methinks... same with Van Der Meyde and Chivu.

Not sure about anyone else but I find free training pretty damn useful... Especially the new 'play again' feature. Hours of fun!

With Real's players you should be able to play just about any formation! I use a modified 442 diamond formation, with Figo left, Zidane centre and Beckham right in advanced midfield positions. Raul and Ronaldo upfront. They could really do with a better centre-back than Pavon though IMO.

Right... Obviously everyone messes with their formation and stuff like that, but do many people play with the strategies (center attack, zone press etc etc) ? I used to on the PS1 versions of ISS / PES but haven't since. Are they still useful on PES3?

Try using square to head the ball clear, and push the d-pad towards the opposition half. Works for me...

Long range shooting is very different to PES2. I've found that well below half way on the bar is enough when outside the box. Saying that I haven't scored many from distance on PES3 so perhaps someone can give us both some tips!

Is it just me or are the player stats at the end of the game almost totally fictional? For example, playing as Milan, Clarence Seedorf was all over the pitch making tackle after tackle, winning ball after ball. At the end of the game the stats say he made 0 tackles and 2 interceptions -...
