I thought this deserved it own individual threads to discuss the sheer disgusting events which occur in WE10. In case your wondering if I enjoy playing WE10, I do, thoroughly but its starting to irritate me with the same problems occuring so incredibly often.
The Goalkeepers are awful, they couldn't catch the ball if it was placed into their gloves. On numerous occasions the ball has been side-footed 'at' them no further than an inch or two away yet the Keeper believes the best option is collapse and let the ball go in. But no wait! It doesn't stop there, every Keeper on the game is a shambles no matter how good they are in reality. I've played again my mate a total of 81 times now I think and in that time I've had 1 memorable keeper. His name was Landreau, I had him again the next match feeling confident only for him to concede around 7 goals with 5 being through his own lack of skill. You can literally walk around the Keepers without being challenged, and if you are challenged then they'll foul you and get Red. 2 of my Keepers got sent off in one match for ridiculous last ditch tackles despite not even needing to charge out. Only 1 in a 100 maybe will they poke the ball away to safety. Despite not holding Triangle the Keeper still feels the sudden urge to headlessly sprint out of goal on nearly every occasion even with the player being hassled by a defender and being 5 yards outside the box showing no real threat. This happens incredibly often leading to pathetic goals.
Not to mention the defending is the worst I have ever seen for a PES/WE game. Its probably better than the Goalkeeping but I'd rate that at 1/10 so its not really difficult to surpass it. Certain players like Henry and Ronnie are great at dribbling in real life but in the game they are pretty much unstoppable and it gets frustrating to see players like Lennon walse through Cannavaro, Samuel and A.Cole and many other top players with ease. My mate has scored many like this as is vice versa. Its just not realistic, the ball is literally magnetised to the players feet. On another note, Cisse is fairly slow, he was up against Terry and got completely outpaced. Realistic ? I think not.
Many strikers and certain midfielders feature a special 90degree turn. Similar to a shot feint however you only need to press the direction button. At first I was over the moon with this new feature as it was unique and helped create space. However after a month or so it becomes so blatently obvious when the player is going to do the special turn. He spreads his arms and shapes his body, usually taking him 1-2 seconds to perform. In this time your opposing player (mate) can easily scout it by simply moving his controlled player next to the trickster. Tackled.
