any still play pes2009?

Today I played 2 matches of Pro Evo 2009.. what a waste of time. It's just so bad, the COM has control of everything.
First match, I haven't played PES for a month now, on the hardest level -- and I still managed to score 2 easy goals. I keep doing the same thing, keep shooting the same shots, and for some reason they aren't going in, I wonder why.
80th minute -- the COM scores from a corner kick. 90th minute the COM scores from a free kick, and the funny part is how the goal went it; they crossed the ball into the area, someone headed the ball, the ball crashed against the post -and- then took an unnatural effect and guess what?? The ball fell right at the COM's feet in the middle of the penalty area and Goal!
It's just ridiculous, and the worst part is that I didn't really had fun whilst playing the game. It's just too straightforward and dull for my liking.
Once again I experienced why I choose Not to play this arcade game.

try passing the ball around and making nice attacks, this will be very fun instead of doing the same thing over and over

That kind of excuse making could land you a Premiership job! I know about possible 'cheating' in the game, for example, refs seeming unwilling to blow for half-time when the COM are in possesion, but I've not heard of a divine intervention in the ball's flight.
Also, I don't get what you are complaining about when you say you try the same shots, and they don't go in? Isn't this because the game has variety, where the same player in the same position with the same attempted shot isn't necessarily gonna score every single time? Unlike FIFA, which has its whole shooting system devalued by the finesse shot, which is practically perfect, and the normal shot, with is practically like playing with a helium balloon instead of a ball.

In answering your question yes i do still play pes 09 everyday, masterleague- very much improved with chimps "next gen" option file...check it out!

Pes 09 is the game I play most and the ones saying it's bad are worng in ym opinion. The forgot that certain things also appear on pes 6 too (like spill saves). I am playing pes 6 again (since my 360 is being repaired (fan problems)) and the GK spills many saves aswell and the shooting was less realistic than pes 09. So pes 09 is better than 6 in that aspect for sure.
But since this thread is not pes 6 vs pes 09, I'll stop here.
I will continue to play pes 09 until pes 2010 is released because this game unlike pes 08 is great.

When I do an update to my gameplay option file I will be sorting the keepers out. It however, only be on the PS3 version

don't waste your time and try logic here. he simply hates the game and loves to repeat the same points over and over again thinking that its the ultimate truth and no one else should enjoy it.
heck, he even sounds like the way he plays the game.

Dude, that's how I play.. But it's too easy. Whenever I start playing Passing-Football I win matches by large margins, it's too easy. Which is why at times I decide to play differently, to see if the COM can provide a better challenge.
Instead I get countless of ridiculous goals, the COM rarely scores a proper goal.

No.. that's not the problem, the problem is that the COM decides if the shots go in or not.
I played PES for years now, I'm not some newbie complaining about things. PES wasn't like this before.
As for the "complaining" part, I can beat the COM at will. It's just like I said, I hadn't touched PES09 in over a Month. But I just think it's too easy and straightforward for my liking. PES09 is an appropriate game for kids, but not for grown ups.

Dude, if PES6 didn't had the unbelievable Long Range Goals -- it would be far harder and more realistic than PES09.
Everyone haves different opinions, but I just think that PES08 and PES09 are poor efforts from Konami.

That's cool.. no offense taken.
It's just that in my opinion, I cannot really say that "PES09 is shite" -But- there's something wrong with it, it lost whatever it was that made PES appealing.
One of my main critics to PES09 is the lack of Intensity, it somehow feels numb. If you can look for some highlight videos of Romario, you will see just how fast someone can run the last third of the pitch.
In PES09 running the last third takes a bit too much. And the rigid movements make it feel so out of date.
Maybe PES 2010 will be the PES5 of the PS3, who knows? I hope so.. but I'm not expecting nor counting on it.
I traded mine for call of duty.Its total garbage imo.Iss/pro evo used to be the pinnicale of football gaming.Now its just arcade muck!

I agree with that.. but you know, PES09 isn't all bad, it haves some good things. But it's just not as good as PES6 or PES5.
At times it feels like an arcade game, because it's just so plain and simple, it's minimalism gone wrong. Defending is too simple, Dribbling is too simple, Scoring Goals is too simple, everything in the game is simple but in a bad way.
And the rigid movements are such a letdown, very arcade-like, the game just doesn't feels like a Next Gen Game. Even more so considering the PS2 versions of PES6 have "fluid" and better movements.
PES 2010 needs to get rid of the "rigid" movements, otherwise plenty of fans will remain skeptical.
Have u tried chimps next gen option file? It changes the game so much, has definitely got me more addicted to my masterleague..
