Anyone else want different ratings system for players?

Heres the two biggest issues I have with the rating system of players:

1. The "overall" rating of the player is actually his position rating, so lets say I make a player and make his primary position CF, then I give him weak CF stats and increase the stats that a CM needs alot.
That would make his "overall" rating lets say 74 while if you put him in a CM position his rating would be 92, that is very confusing and not needed.
Instead they should make an overall rating so if someone is a SS and CF and his ratings are 90 and 84 his overall rating would be around 87~.

2. The ratings are simply too high, I mean they can go way over 110 , whats that seriously?
The highest possible rating for ever position should be 100 period, what kind of rating is 110? lets just make ratings so the players will be 220 and 265 and 320 , seriously..
Imo the best player in the game atm Messi should have a rating of 90 maybe 92 max, and his max potential would be somewhere around 94/95 which should be legendary status.

Yep. It's daft that a player can be rated 90 overall and not have ANY attributes in the 90s. This becomes especially apparent in ML.

The hexagon was good. I liked it.

BTW, why is there a big fuss in the overall ratings? IN MY OPINION, IT'S NOT BAD EVEN THOUGH I DO NOT USE IT. I prefer to send a scout and give me his attributes and then I will decide myself if I want him based on those attributes.

However I think that the hexagons should have more priority than overall ratings.

Hexagons are a much better idea since then it is based on your judgement or scouts judgement more than looking at an unrelated number. Not that the overall rating doesn't give some indication of a players ability, but with the flawed system currently I'd rather look at the hexagon system. Besides, FM uses a similar hexagon system and I believe it works really well!

I like the idea of having the hex system.

If you were to get rid of the traditional system I'd like to see:

1. Mentality and physical stats similar to FM
2. a hex for skill
3. perhaps vids of players or something, so you have to assess their skill level.

Would be more challenging/rewarding to build a team.

It's obvious that everyone, well everyone with atleast half a brain, prefers the old stat hexagon. If you want a set of complicated attributes to be boiled down to one, two digit number, then go play FIFA.
