Well that is just people being sad and insecure about there own sexuality or a reason to rebel, people need to chill the f out, everyone is different, isnt that what makes us great and unique? I have no problem with any race or gender but thats just me, people need to grow up and accept that the world doesnt revolve around them and whatever makes someone happy shouldnt mean that you have to be unhappy, you have your own life to deal with so dont get involved in someone elses if that causes you grief.....

But it's not really ok, as the person is using it as an insult/attack, which is wrong. Unless it's a two friends (one straight, one gay or two gays) having some harmless banter, of course.

it is this kind of business. This dude was banned and then reinstated and I see he is back to his old ways; not sure if the search link works. No need for this as it is malicious. To me this is commensurate with a racial slur. you can see his last 4 of six posts are just ridiculous. It is not about me, nor the fellow he is insulting as much as the entire community here doesn't need to have this happening.

oh no, no - i was not referring to Matt by any means. Quite the opposite indeed. I feel I know Matt pretty well and we have PM'd each other on the same side of issues like this. He was just saying he missed any rude comments so I threw some that search link to illustrate what started me with the thread but Hunter is taking dilignent care of it. Matt and I probably agree on many liberal agendas (if not all).

but I can see the first sentence of the post you quoted from me Smink could have given you the feeling I was referring to him.

I too have seen some homophobic comments, but can't say I remember anything specifically directed. Apart from Jonno & Barn, but let's face it, that's hardly a shock now, is it?

That's what I was trying to imply in my post. I can't see a reason why someone would say it toward another person they don't know personally, and are friends with, unless it was an insult.
