Hiho everyone... one thing that most of you probably did not notice.. the point you get for training are not the same for all seasons... Imagine you add 6 points to speed. In your first and second seasons you will get 12 points for training on Top Speed and Acceleration! but on the 3rd and 4th season you will only get 9 points instead, and on 5th and 6th season only 6 points for training.. Every 2 seasons you make you get less 3 points!! so thats why the first 2 seasons are the ones where you develop faster yours stats... so choose where to put your points wisely :)

I am on start of 3rd season (3rd match of 2010-2011) and still get 12 points. Is this because of my difficulty setting? I play in "regular" difficulty setting.

well there's something interesting....
I know obtaining a certain amount of points depends on where you are on the growth chart...to most of us, we would get the SAME chart... but sometimes you get a slightly different one, with very minute differences in the angles of the curve. So maybe someone would get a curve with the 1st three years at a 45 degree angle and most of us with a 2 yr 45 degree angle. Im pretty sure this happened to one of my BALs.

One started to get less points in his 3rd year while the other kept getting the specified amount during his 3rd year.

i believe technique (kicking) and Stamina and the most important stats to begin with.

I kept Stamina on 6 bars until it got to 85 and now i leave it! (still get subbed though)

And tech Kicking improves a lot of stats which are well used for getting higher match ratings (higher exp at end of game) shooting, passing etc!

If your player can constantly hit the target from well outside the box then your 5/5 shots on target is going to prevent you getting a rubbish match rating!

Hmmm, I understand. Thank you for your reply. I hope mine is for 4 or more seasons :)

I basically have come to the conclusion that the lower your stats the quicker you improve and the higher they are, the slower.

maybe its important in what team you are playing. Better team means lower points. Now I’m playing for inter and I get only 9 points. Befor I played for lower teams. There I got 12 points.

an indication for this is following: When you change to a better team, there's a message in the "news" like this: "Player XXX changed to the next level"

Maybe you are right. But Galatasaray was approximately 30th in team ranking when I began. Now GS is 13th in team ranking, in my third season we played the final in Champions League. And in my fourth year (I almost finished my fourth season in BaL) we are defeated by Chealsea with 0-0 and 0-1 on quarter finals in Champions League. And in C league we dominated the league. All big teams except Spanish, England and Italian clubs are in our league. So Galatasaray is now a better team. I don't think it is depend on that.
By the way I played for Galatasaray from the very beginning of my BaL. Maybe this is the reason. Or maybe my stats is the reason. But I don't think better team means lower points. I mean how does the computer decide that? By team ranking? It is changing a lot when playing.

I honestly can't see that being the case. From what I hear it's very common that every 2 years the amount of points you earn decreases a little bit as this coincides with your player getting older. Sometimes it's every 3 years if you're lucky, but Im not so sure that certain club levels affect this.

my player has just turned 26 (i know i have no life) and for example when i started out if i put 6 blocks on speed my top speed would go up 12 yes? now if i was to put 6 blocks on it, it only goes up by 3.

That matches what people have said by how the strengthen stats decrease every 2 years due to the player becoming older. Mine is starting to slow down too, guess it's to add a touch of realism to the career though.
