I think what he means is that they usually play with the read arrows - ^ but while his mate is away, they changed it to the worst one. Assuming that him and his mate are use to playing with the full arrows etc, then there isn't any reason to check them. You see what I'm sayin'?

I have cheated in Grand Theft Auto III. I couldn't complete the last mission that I got frustrated and started to randomly smash the buttons. Out of nowhere, guns appeared among my weapon selection. The site of this magic trick was pure lust and my greed more more ammunition grew larger. I tried to resist but my inner demons kept saying "You have done well to get this far! Now a little bit of cheating won't cause any harm, will it?" - and he was right, it never caused any harm but I can no longer look myself in the mirror.
